Closer Looks at New Transformer; Nelson Dispells Some Names

Recommended Posts

Cool, thanks. Can't keep up with all these new alt modes for the same bots from the previous movies. My guess for the fire engine is probably Ultra Magnus though maybe Prime gets upgraded or something.

Ain't that the truth. We're going to create a new vehicle mode page soon.

That's not just any type of fire engine. It's a HEMTT (Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck) decked out for fire duty. The specific model looks to be a variant of the M1142 Tactical Fire Fighting Truck. My guess is that it is Inferno. It would fit the character.

Are you a fire fighter?

Sorry it not an M1142, the M1142 has 8 wheels this fire truck only has 6 wheels, plus the design is all wrong

Here is pic from TFW 2005 with a side view

It is actually an Airport Crash Tender Fire Engine This model is called a Rosenbauer Panther

Just a little while ago, we showed you two videos shot in Chicago on the set of Transformers 3 that reveal what we perceive as a new Transformer in the film. Collecticon.org has three new images of the vehicle, providing a very nice look at the vehicle, one practically right next to it, while another is showing the rear three quarters of the vehicle. Read more. Read the Full News Story Here

I stand corrected. The video shots are from pretty far so the truck looked like the HEMTT, especially the front end.

OH, and bwbm, No, I am not a fire fighter, I am a US Army veteran though, and am very familiar with the HEMTT.

It's pretty obscure, but I wonder if the firetruck could be Artfire? Same colors, red, white, and that bluish-black.

But the comment about assuming it's a male based on the alt mode has me wondering if it might be fembot Firestar since she was some sort of Cybertronian firetruck in the cartoon.

I was wondering that as well...since Nelson commented on how we always assume the "gender" of the bot by it's alt mode. Hell, it might even be Elita-1...she'd be about the same size as Prime with this alt mode, so their romance wouldn't be so awkward... :tflaugh :ghey

Man, now I'm more curious to know than ever!
