Of all the figures you guys have bought what was your biggest surprise. Either huge disappointment or surprisingly pleased?

For me it was Alternators Rodimus. For the longest time I avoided the Alternators line outright, for whatever reason I just didn't like the idea behind them. I picked up Rodimus at a local toy store a couple days ago mainly because it was an SDCC exclusive and it was Rodimus, I like the character. After finally opening him I LOVE this figure and truly can't wait for Prowl to come, whom I won on eBay today.

I just wish I could get his passenger side trunk peg in! >.<

how do you not like altinators?

Whatever, for me it's Beast Wars Terragator. I bought him cause you know, new figure.

Jeez though, the articulation, awesome shield, and quirky but detailed gun.

Terragator is still a favorite on my shelves!!!

Didn't and I don't know why I didnt like them. I just remembering seeing them and...I donno. Hard to explain. that's changed though.

For Dislike = Any Hot Crap Shot. Especially the Energon Hot Crap Shot. They are complete wastes of plastic

For Likes = Toss up Big Convoy and Buster Optimus Prime

For likes, I'd say the Alternity line. I've heard several bad things about them, but I myself quite like Cliffjumper and Starscream.

For dislikes, the SWTF Commander Cody/Turbo Tank. I heard that it was supposed to be pretty good. The thing can barely do anything despite looking like it should. :damnit

For myself, any of the cross over TF's(Star wars/Marvel) have been from a median to a severe disappointment. It seems like some good thought is put into the concept but the follow through on production is just in the toilet. Luke/X-Wing was just epic fail and as for the more recent ones, I have no idea, I quit after Commander Cody came out and unloaded them all in a trade.

My biggest like was Hound from the Alternators series, he's just fun to switch between modes and the jeep mode with the springs/shock absorbers and real tires makes him fun to me. Hell I still enjoy most of the Alternators. :thumb :hbang :thumb

My biggest surprise was G1 Trypticon. I thought he looked cool and everything, but didn't really appreciate it till I got it in my hands. His city mode is awesome, and what can I say, it's fun watching him walk as slow as a turtle across the counter.

Dislike is G1 Hoist/Trailbreaker. What a crap mold.

Most recently, the paint on Generations Thrust is phenomenal. Like a crimson pearl.

I actually bought a Terragator based on what you said about him in another thread a long time ago. He actually sits on the top shelf, front and center in my dining room. I thoroughly enjoy him :thumb

My biggest Like surprise would of been Generations Drift, for a character I don't care much about, his toy is awesome and can be put in some very nice sword fighting stances.

As for the biggest dislike surprise, for Transformers, it would of been the PCC Aerielbots, and Searchlight w/Backwind.

For non-transformers, but similiarly themed, would be the Revoltech 3-Mode Macross Valkryie. For such a figure I was so excited to see and get, I was so heartbroken once I started to unbox it, cause it was piece of junk from the word "go".
