Well, I consider the Marvel G1 Unicron and Dreamwave Armada Unicron to be pretty much the same due to Furman being the creator of the idea of Unicron being connected interdimensionally to all versions of himself in each universe.... and bringing in his agents from the other universes as his heralds. Granted, the individual Unicron's are seperate, but all connected as one.

Unicron's final words at the end of the movie, while he was blowing up and talking about his destiny, were voiced by Leonard Nimoy.

I like the ML/SL Unicron, PPL keep saying that that one is a tool, but they forget that Sideways was Unicron, and that Unicron slowly possesed Galvatron in SL.

The first scene of TF:TM is G1 Unicron eating a planet. He then creates Galvatron, eats one of Cybertron's moons and tortures Galvatron. Then he transforms into robot mode and smashes and claws a huge portion of Cybertron, all the while fighting and destroying the attacking Transformers (including the destruction of the Junkion ships).

 

Sounds like he did alot considering his limited screen time.

 

It's Armada/Energon cartoon Unicron that was a statue (his only real movements were to transform and to open his chest).

 

Armada/Energon Unicron was a damn good toy though.

I don't consider Armada/Energon Unicron as a character at all. He's just....there. All he does is grunt and moan and part of me expects to hear "Hulk smash!" come out of him. Sideways being unicron was kinda lame. A huge god-like robot places his entire consiousness into a teeny tiny transformer body....uh...no. It would have been much better if they had just kept Sideways as Unicrons herald.

 

In the g1 movie, and in the few eps after where his consiousness was awakened, he was just pure ruthless evil! His intelligence went far beyond see planet, grunt, eat planet. When he spoke, he was very bold and intimidating which is exactly what one would expect out of something so huge and evil.

 

In Armada/Energon Unicron, if there wasn't another Transformer involved then Unicron wouldn't have any consiousness at all, and he still has absolutely NO personality of his own, he's basically a giant galactic pac-man!

G1 Unicron didn't shoot down a groups of planets like Armada/Energon did. All G1 Unicron(cartoon) did was eat a planet and a couple of moons and then slam his hand on Cybertron. Armada/Energon caused the Autobots and Decepticons to join together. G1 Unicron was more of a statue than Armada Unicron was.

Well all things said here i believe the G1 Unicron offered more to us than we have seen in the "newer" Unicron so far. G1 Unicron was an icon of pure evil. Anightmare for transformers, feared. Those of us who read marvel's Transformers #75 saw the tru power and evil of Unicron, The movie portrayed part of that evil but for lack of screen time we couldn't see more.

 

Armada/energon UNI still hasn't proved he's that powerfull and evil. Shooting a planet is not as impressive as eating a planet with all his inhabitants on it then looking for another, now that's evil.

Sideways was created from Unicron's brain. Not a random Transformer controlling Unicron. Energon Unicron actually fought in a battle rather than just get shot at. As for post-movie Unicron being "evil" the Quintessons were as evil as he was and more of a threat.
