the Minicons wer Unicrons cells and those wepons were the most powerful cells, i only makes scence that after losing that much power He would need the wepons to reactivate himself.

Just finished watching Energon (I know I'm late to this discussion) and I agree, in Armada/Energon they tried to give Unicron more complexity than a huge planet devouring beast that could only be physically destroyed by the Matrix, however in doing so, that also made him less invulnerable as we once thought he was.  In G1, he was a near omnipotent being, while in Energon we find out he's part of every Transformer, and has two sides, an evil side that destroys, but also a good side that can create life.  Yeah, the "newer" Unicron may be a more interesting character-wise, but the Unicron as I knew up till just recently was nearly indestructible (they blew up a moon in attempts to destroy him and it didn't even cause a dent!) and kinda prefer him that way rather than this weird yin-yang relationship he has going on now.

Late? LATE? Dude, you would have been able to get a friggin KID in the time between the last post and yours! Jeez, I'd rather have you start a new thread, then restart this dead corpse of a body!

I like the armadagoncron the best.

The Armada & Energon version, clearly.

A being who hid inside Cybertron's moon while feasting on the negative energy released through the Transformer's battles. He created thousands to millions of small transforming robots possessing supernatural powers called Mini-Cons to cause and intensify the war. Originally he had succeeded, but a time-space anomaly caused 5 kids from future to appear in the past just before Unicron unleashed the Mini-Cons upon Cybertron, and by meeting they somehow gave the Mini-Cons sentience and they developed a strong desire to escape from the conflicts on Cybertron and seek a peaceful existence on Earth. But it was not to be, for their ship had crashed on Earth's moon and remained dormant for millions of years until eventually 3 kids unwittedly re-awakened the Mini-Cons, and by doing so, restarted the Autobot-Decepticon war. In time, this would provide Unicron with all the hatred and strife he needed to empower him. Once fueled, Unicron began an assault on Cybertron and the Transformers, slowly devouring the planet until he was ultimately defeated by the combination of the intervention of the kids and Mini-Cons, aswell as Galvatron's sacrifice. But that would not be the end of Unicron. While he was clearly weakened, he still continued to feed on random planets until he came across Planet Q where he forced Scorponok to make a desperate last ditched effort against him by detonating his and Alpha Quintesson's home planet. This succeeded in rendered Unicron comatose, but it also trapped their souls within Unicron.

Far and beyond TFtM and the comics.

"Negative Energy"?!?! OOoookkk. Here I thought Transformers was a kids' show, not some pulpit for preaching New Agism.

Unicron in "The Transformers: The Movie" is the best incarnation, hands down. You can see the threat that Unicron represents right at the beginning of the movie when he ripped and devoured Lithone. You don't get the same sense of danger from the other incarnations of Unicron.

TFTM Unicron was the best executed but Armada had the most depth though in Energon the potential of it was entirely blown to hell itself. Can't wait to see how the Unicron character is butchered in Cybertron. :roll
