I never said he didn't have the right to form and have stupid opinions. I said that it's not a GOOD thing to have stupid opinions. The difference is in more than semantics.

 

The other difference is I view my opinion as just my opinion and not a hard fact that can or cannot be proven. You might wanna try that.

I was objecting to his gut reaction, not his opinion.

 

Like I said, if he actually tried the toys and didn't like them, I'd have been fine with that. Hell, if he were basing his opinion on having watched reviews of the figures, I'd have been fine with that, too. But as far as I can tell, his hate for Power Rangers toys is nothing more than a gut reaction to Power Rangers itself, which is where I have a problem.

I'm all for that actually, especially since we started a thread already about lst week's show and nobody has yet discussed it as much as this one. :doh

I can honestly say I had Power Ranger toys. I got a bunch for my birthday manymanymany years ago. I found them to be Junk and I blew them up with firecrackers. Some flew off the 2nd floor Balcony and met an untimely Death. So my opinion is not based on a gut reaction but actually playing with the toys. I also hate the show. I have watched subtitled Japanese ones and find them to be a waste of my time. So my saying I will never have a power ranger on my shelf is not just to blow steam its cause I have given them a chance and found them not to My Taste. Now As for the others I too Like the Animorph Toys and a few others that people probably hate. But hey Its my taste.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for airing opinions. Left unchecked, it can broil into flaming and that's what I'm trying to avoid.
