I see alot of talk about G1 Starscream and how much of a better leader he would have been or how he would have beaten prime in like three seconds or how he was just simply a "bad ass".

 

Well I say, "SHANANIGANS"!!!!

 

Starscream was a whiney power hungry turd. Yeah he betrayed megatron every chance he got, but that usually ended with him begging for his life while Megatron laughed maniacally at his luetenants cowerdice.

 

Starscream's lines 9 times out of 10 were (and i paraphrase) , "Waaa i want to be leader waaaa :tfsad "

He did take a shot at Megatron in "Starscream's Brigade". That was pretty cool :thumb

another reason why I prefer the comic continuity. In both Marvel and Dreamwave, he is a two-timing traitorous badass.

in the cartoon Starscream would be a better leader, but not by force, only by tactics/ideas

he disagreed multiple times with Megatron and in the end, Screamer was right

 

but like Bi Grim said: comic is even better, he even once destroyed the complete earthen Decepticon and Autobot troops

Starscream, badass? No. He was a wannabe badass to the 9th degree!

 

Some of his military tactics seemed good, but he was too consumed with trying to take over leadership than using his military skill to show up Megatron. Therefore, Megatron was the badass.

 

Also, remember 'Screamers fate in TF:TM - Galvatron = Badass.

 

Too bad he became a lunatic with a whiney voice after the movie.

yeah, like the time where he gained control of the Underbase and decimated the Autobot and Decepticon forces. Or when he an Shockwave started a Decepticon Civil War against Scorponok. Or when he betrayed the present-day Autobots and Decepticons to the Decepticons from the future: Galvatron, Scourge, and Cyclonus. And last but not least, when he betrayed the Autobots and Decepticons to Jhiaxus and the New Cybertronians, and then turned on the New Cybertronians when he fused with the Matrix and Warworld. And I'm sure most of you are familiar with his actions in the Dreamwave continuity. Man, what a pompous bastard, can't wait to see him get owned in G1 #10.

maybe not in the G1 cartoons, but G1 Starscream was pretty badass in the comics!

BTW, didn SS destroy the council on cybertron or something? (might be mistaken.)
