This is toy related in a way.

This morning I was in my TF room admiring my 400+.It was a lil before 9am ET.I shut the door and turned on my 360.Then a boom and my house shook.I heard stuff falling in my Tf room.I thought my son got in there.Cleaned up I could b4 leaving for work.

Come to find out.......Gawd damn Space Shuttle came in with a sonic boom!Knocked over damn near half my Tfs!

Can you believe that chit mang!?

A gawd damn space shuttle flying 500mph flew over Gainesville and knock my chit down mang!Im still pissed!!

Yeah I read that was gonna happen... the shuttle not your figure room :tflaugh

 

I used to tell the size of earthquakes when I lived in So. Cal. by how many figures fell and my clean-up after.

 

Now I'm too far north to have caught the Sonic-Boom but would loved to have heard it :hbang that chit only happens so often...

that is rather random..and why mine live in a fortress of glass and wood...no free falling here.

 

 

Granted, no space shuttles either though..

at least you have a cool story behind it.

 

A couple months ago I was resetting some shelves. I got everything done all nice and the leg of my step stool gave out. I fell and took 5 shelves with me.

 

the corner of my MSIB Energon Prime got a little mashed. Otherwise, nothing broke, but I was literaly buried in planks and plastic.

 

Split my knee open, and my arm right across the wrist which is a very bad place to have a scar.

I had a similar thing happen to me once and it changed my method of displaying toys. I used to have shelves above my bed and... oh you probably know where this is going... :tflaugh

 

Well one Saturday morning I wake up to some banging in the next room. My dad was in there with his friend HEY! No they were busting up a cast iron tub with a sledgehammer and the whole house was vibrating. Well I somehow managed to sleep through it. I was woken up about 10 minutes later when it started raining Insecticons! I got out of the way fast enough to catch Brave Max as he almost landed on my head! Never again putting toys above my bed! :toxic

I think the weight of Brave Max is what kept the top shelf in place when I had my fall.

As a precaution I moved him. Picked up a cheap computer stand for him actualy, he fits nice on it.

 

I think we've all had a case of Transominos when one falls and takes a bunch with it, but a major shelf collapse makes you wish for toy insurance!!!

 

Basicly, no more expensive stuff gets put real high anymore just in case (which sucks).

 

Also, I had the shelves over my bed when I lived with my parents, even had a clear one suspended by wires for the Gundams(that was cool) I'm suprized none of it ever fell though cause I just put the screws in the sheetrock. I was a kid, what the hell did I know about beams!?!

Never had any of my collection land on me, but back when Armada was finishing up there was a party at my place that lasted well into the night. My bedroom had been designated the green room and was pretty full at one point. Well a friend of mine arrived late to the party and proceeded to go back to the bedroom to see everyone, not there 5 minutes we learn about how shitty his night has been. No sooner has he finished his story then our friend Megan gives him a pretty serious nipple twist and ends up pulling out his nipple ring. He falls back against the bookcase and knocks over Armada prime which was combined with overlord and jetfire at the time and had all three split apart on his head and he hit the floor.

 

My friend bled for a while and then was placed on the couch with a full bottle of Jack Daniels, a two liter of coke, some ice for his drink and nipple and put on Starship Troopers for him to watch. As for Prime and the rest everything made it out without a scratch. From then on everything moved to the closet to avoid any more damage to my friends in inebriated states.

Transominos......Thats what had to have happened this morning.Wish I could find the weak link.Then again.....I doubt another Shuttle will fly near me again.I thought I had mine figs gapped enough to.....well didnt expect the ground/house to shake.

 

Oh and my Tfroom is carpet.But the sound of them falling mad me cringe.

 

Never felt/heard a sonic boom till today.It was crazy.
