So much for Transformers 3 being all about the robots as it looks like the same old procession is lining up for the next ride on the merry-go-round of Michael Bay's robot trilogy. Variety is reporting that Sam's parents played by Kevin Dunn and Julie White will be reprising their roles as the Witwicky's. I see you deleted my post and re-edited the news story. Not that we need award winning journalistic integrity when it comes to Transformers news, but thanks for getting rid of the overly objective piece originally posted.

I'm still debating an answer to the question: "Mom and Dad Return for Tranformers 3 - Will You?" :schin It's gonna have to be a LOT better than Revenge of the Ballin'!

 

I didn't buy a DVD or Blu-ray of ROTF...perhaps if I find it in the dollar bin one day, but until then...

I wanted so much to like RotF but couldn't. As far as 3 is concerned I will still see it but I will not go to opening night and will wait for a week or two. Honestly I don't want 3 to have a big opening week. Just to show bay the dissapointment people had for RotF. He was too cocky about the first two and seemed very insulting to fans during interviews. I still don't like the fact that he said something to the fact that people would see TF no matter what he put in it because its his movie. or something like that. Cant remember the actual quote.

 

Any ways. I will see it but not till after it has been out a couple of weeks.

I too wanted to like TF2 and after my subsequent viewings of RoTF, I don't hate it as much as I did on opening day, however it still is an underwhelming film. It has everything a summer blockbuster should have, yet it also has added on to it everything a Transformers film shouldn't. A couple more weeks in the editing suite and RoTF would have benefited greatly, however, its all history now.

 

As far as TF3, I will see it and go in there with no/low expectations. I think being fans of the series/toyline we set up ourselves for disappointment. Same thing happened to Star Wars fanatics/fanboys when The Phantom Menace was released...

IDK about setup. ROTF and Phantom Menace are truly bad movies. I am sorry, but it should be implicit that fans should be catered too. Look back at those movies now. No doubt they were made for ticket sales. The shame is they could do both. It is the BS these Hollywood big shots throw down on whim just to have their way that ruins these films. THAT is what I am really tired of, fan or not.

Agreed. But hold the totally far out crap like The Fallen, The Primes, What's Her Name, Megatron being a total wuss and the candy coating of potty humor. :bored
