Review: Arcee Animated Figure

Recommended Posts

$250 is not that bad as long as she is at least Voyager size I would do that

I've been on the fence about this figure for a very long long time

No. $250 is very bad. I don't care about their process for making them. No excuse, no matter how correct, will make me think that Cyber Fembot is worth $250.

And thats why :P

The only thing pushing me now is that the maker said he's only looking to do another run or so then close shop.

Yeah, that's when I found mine as well. My local Toys R Us was pretty well stocked with Arcee and Ratchet. I picked up two (one to keep MISB and one for display) and there were still at least eight Arcee's left. I'm not sure if distribution is really the issue. I think some overzealous collectors are snatching up all they see and EBaying them. I guess if that's your thing.....

Actually, I'm starting to think distribution IS the issue. It's the polar opposite on the West Coast with tons of Ratchets but no Arcees to date. I have only heard of ONE Arcee being spotted in the entire state of California.

So far I found 1 Ratchet (what feels like about a month ago at this point), which I bought for a friend, and assumed that they would get more within a week or so...

2 Weeks later they got a slew of... season 1 figures of all things; Lockdown, Cyb Prime, and bumblebee, and then (I guess since those haven't sold) absolutely nothing since.

I'm seriously considering boycotting Hasbro if I don't get one of these before her manufacturing run has ended; it's BS that so many of us are having this difficulty. IMO we shouldn't have to put up with it considering that we're all TRYING to give Hasbro our hard earned cash here, I mean, they like when we give them money right?

I suppose you could argue that it's Toys R Us fault on the distribution end, but my argument is that It's Hasbro's somewhat poorely planned release of this figure that is leading to Toys R Us' distribution problem; if they'd made this toy that they KNEW everyone and their uncle wanted more readily available, then Toys R Us wouldn't be bearing the brunt of this issue.

Oh well, I probably don't know what I'm talking about... but still the hunt continues!

I'd say about 1/2 of the ebay auctions I've seen since she came out were from Cali !!!

As far as I know, Arcee and Ratchet were shipped together in cases (in equal quantities as well) from Hasbro. It just sounds like somebody sucked up all of the Arcees in Cali and left Ratchet behind. Poor, poor Ratchet.... He's getting no love.

I :love Ratchet's Turtle-Tank mode !!!

i think collectors are ggoing that to because i got Cyber mode Ratchet back in Feburary when i got him their were maybe 3 or 4 others, when i got Arcee their were 5 or 6 others, i haven't seen one Ratchet or Arcee at tru or target since the beginning of March

copped 5 at TRU times square
