Figures forgotten

Recommended Posts

OK so like the majority of you, I have a fair few of my bots in storage boxes, and every now and again I like to dig figures out and just TF them or whatever. Do you ever do this, pick up a figure and say "Oh yeah I completely forgot about him"?

I did that today when I picked out my Cybertron deluxe Unicron. I'd completely forgot about that figure and forgot that he's actualy pretty cool for a Cybertron figure. I still think he should have been repainted as Bludgeon though

So if you've ever done this with any figures let us know who. Maybe others out there will remember that figure and give it a revival on their displays. I know my Unicron has :P

The same thing happens to me every time I search for a figure. I always forget about how many bootlegs I've got.

Can't wait to hit my Microman boxes, some have been sealed since 2005 :eek :drool :beer

Party over here !!!

I was watching beast machines and loved how Tankor was aweome in that last epiosode of season 1. I had the toy in storage and decided to dig it out to only be disappointed how he didn't really look like his cartoon counterpart.

I have tons of boxes stacked and stored all over. I'm constantly finding stuff I forgot about.

Just the otherday I found a THS-02 Convoy mint in the box. I knew I had one in the MIB collecton and figured it got misplaced, sure enough, it was a bonus one.

So I started looking around more and came across 2 white Universe Powerglides?

So I looked more and found tons of Big Lots KO TFs which I'd buy every so often and burn. Thats great cause when the kid downstairs starts screaming he wants a transformer I can just give him one of those.

So I kept looking and found a box of stuff that I had in a display case in my old apartment. Kick ass Thanos!

So then I got drunk, blacked out, and now I'm here...

It is funny though how after a while, no matter how on top of your collection you are, you just loose track. Especialy if you move and trade alot

I dont have that problem no more ;)

it's not exactly the worse problem to have...

When I pulled all my G1's out of their box and was finally able to put them on a display case... I forgot that I had Grapple. I have to say of all my G1's he seems the most out of place - doesn't really go with anything, imho. A part of me considers whether I should sell him off.

yah, I was pleasantly surprised one day after I got my reissue Blaster from a buddy of mine that I still had a bunch of my G1 cassettes to go with him!

Well seeing I posted the same topic after this, it's only appropriate that I post one here.

I have a plastic file tote that has become basically a coffee table for me. I probably didn't even open it for a couple of years until I just recently did just to see what exactly I had in there.

There is a bunch, but for this purpose I'll put the focus on the K-mart exclusive Energon Checkpoint and Prowl set. They've probably sat there 2 ft. away from me since I first got them from another member here and I've hardly messed with them.

Anyway, I'm one of the few who loved Energon Prowl, so liking this set was easy for me. The unified color scheme I think really made the figure stand out in combined mode. Makes me think if the colors simply blended together better with many of the other Energon combiners, then more people might have been able to overlook some of the gripes over how the combined modes looked in general.

If Hasbro can come up with a new way to link robots together that doesn't take such a large bulky connection system then I'd like to see them give this a try again someday. If they can do that, while giving combined modes a bit more flexibility and better matching colors then I think it's still a neat idea.

I wouldn't mind seeing a line come along that incorporates and improves upon all of the better gimmick ideas that Hasbro has done over the years. Certainly Headmasters, powermasters, targetmasters (PCC I know), powerlinking, energon weapons and stars, and whatever else I might not have said that would be cool. Roll it all up into one huge line. It could even give Hasbro the chance to go back and revisit some designs that they were never able to be produced for those lines but would have been awesome.

Energon Cruellock. I'd forgot about this guy until my Universe Overkill figure arrived the other day. I then went Dino-bot hunting. Between these guys, some beast wars Megatrons and my Animated Dinobots I actually have quite a prehistoric-bot army

A lot of people didn't like Cruellock, but I actually enjoyed him. His posability was fairly good for a scout sized figure, and he had a badass big sword.

And the best thing of all. He's based on Godzilla!
