Shadow Warrior is a joke

Recommended Posts

I purchased 2 of this figure and was seriously let down. First one of the figs had 2 right hands/forearms. Second the Paint apps seemed rushed and sloppy. The head became loose after 2 transformations. There is a peg on the figure that becomes a connector piece to connect onto your shadow commander set or to the mini gun that came with the figure to become a gun handle. The peg does not hold still and is too big to fit the Shadow commander armor without creating stress marks. Same peg is not long enough to hold the mini gun in place and plops right off. Also said mini gun does not fit the hand of shadow wariior with out being forced into it. Considering these were main points used to push this figure it is a major issue. Then there is the size of the figure. Shadow warrior is half the size of a gijoe or star wars figure. Add all of these issues together and it makes it not worth the price.

sorry to hear. i heard it was a great fig. maybe you have a defected piece ???

Both Figures have the same problems and reviews I have found on you tube also have the same problems. It may be a mold issue

Outside of sloppy paint and the figure sitting oddly as a shoulder mount on Commander armor, I've heard nothing but good things.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting you, I aprechiate the insite on size vs cost and so on.

There's no counter follow up to that last part, I'm just saying thanks for the insite.

I did order, and quickly cancel this figure. So far outside of the 2 first things mentiones I've heard nothing but good reviews. Still, a negative review is just as valuable as a good and it will all be taken into consideration.

I plan on ordering later this week, if anyone else has a level reason why I shouldn't, I'd like to know why.

I have one, with another on the way. QC on mine is fine TBH. I haven't tried sticking him on my CC yet, but the smaller gun fits fine onto the peg. Also if you use the small square peg on his lil gun it fits better in his hand then the larger handle

I will agree about the shitty paint aps though. But I fixed that :thumb

I would have to agree with some of the others... I got Shadow Warrior last week, and I have no problems at all with it:

(Gotta love that new Motorola Droid camera!) :)

Seeing I don't have the Shadow Commander armor, but wanted Shadow Warrior I just got one which still goes pretty well with Nemesis Prime alone. IF the pegs fit into NP better, it could have been a lot better, but it works for display.

The only problem I'm having is the chest popping off. That could be why the head is getting loose, the chest could be part way (not all the way) pushed out. I have to keep pushing mine back in or else things get wonky. I may just hit it with the crazy glue and hopefully that will solve the problem.

Otherwise, mine is just fine. Love the little bugger! Hopefully Hasbro is taking notice...and notes, lots and lots of notes!!!

I don't have one but given the size vs price and my general lack of desire for this fig, I don't think I'll get it. I saw one in person a couple of weeks ago and the sloppy paint really hurts him.

Does anyone have comparison pics to G1 Rumble or Frenzy?

By the way, I took 2 minutes to figure out how to attahc shadow warrior to a commander figure. As I only have a first gen City commnder I used that.

What you have to do is leave off the piledrivers/barrels part of him until you've peged him onto the shoulder of whichever commander. that way he fits on nicely and you then just have to slide the brrels on. Basicaly if you do't have the barrels attahced you have more control over his head swingin in or not, which is the problem presented when you fully TF him beofre attaching him

Hope that helps guys :thumb

Im going to repaint mine so the paint issue will go away. Did the peg create stress marks on your city commander set? It did so on mine. I like the idea of the fig. Just don't want to ruin my City commander. I think I was just expecting more and the reality of it was far less. I think from now on I will see reviews before ordering and not preorder figs. I may just wait on that new Train Optimus before ordering him also. Just to be on the safe side.
