Bay Won't Kill Fox Off in Transformers 3, Tells All to Give Her a Break

Recommended Posts

She is not a strong female lead. She's not Jodie Foster. She's not even Meg Foster. She is not a strong female role model in any way, shape or form. Spouting off whatever asinine comment comes to mind because you happen to have a platform to do so does not make you a strong role model. She does not come across as a natural portraying anyone's true reaction to an imminent invasion by hostile alien robots. She is a plot contrivance. She is there to look hot and stare, open-mouthed, into the camera.

The sad thing is is that everyone else played to her level, and we are left with a 2+ hour long film where you really can't even single Meg Fox's bad performance out as the main downfall of the movie. Everyone mailed it the fuck in.

In YOUR opinion! You state it like its a fact. And truth is it is OBVIOUSLY not a fact. Or she wouldnt have got the part. Ive seen her act in 3 things, and she IMO does a very job at all 3. One was TWo & half men, then TF's, then TF ROTF. She IMO is a good actress, AND HOT! I LIKE to watch her act and i think your jealous she doesnt like you :D lol heh. j/k kind of :)

And Timothy, for ONCE (lol) i actually agree with you! Well not about the Meg Fox "I love you!" part being bad, but her being good. :D

Then we agree to disagree ;). Personally, I just plain don't see it, either in her performance(s) or her physical appearance. And when she speaks, it's off-putting to me. But if others are satisfied with what she brings to the table, then hey. It's all good.

Buuuuuuuuuutttt...

...lot's of bad actresses (and acTORS) get parts. Some of them get HUGE parts. Maybe they are better than I think, maybe they have embarrassing and debasing photos of various studio big-wigs, who knows? I'm not in that field personally. I would assume that the acting field is not so different from anything else: it's not necessarily about talent. Which is to say that the fact that she has drawn the lead female role in two high-grossing action/sci-fi films is not necessarily quantitative of her level of talent. It could be the writing, it could be anything, but I've seen a good actor take a bad script and make a little bit of magic with it. I haven't seen her do it yet, and the fact that quite a few people think she is 'hot' isn't going to color my assessment of whether or not I think she is a good actress.
