I was thinking of buying Prime from walmart.com with their $10 gift card, but I'm not sure. I can only afford one leader, and if Buster is coming to the US some time in the future, I'd rather get Jetfire.

 

If there's no news, I'll probably just get Prime now.

Well im pretty sure i can confirm this. Hasbro wont be bringing "Buster Prime" to Amaerica with all that chrome on him. Probably may do a redeco with his mouth instead of faceplate and have "some" of the silver paint on him. Hopefully they at least get he middle of the chest piece silver/grey this time rather then the non accurate RED. But NO we wont get a chrome version most likely.

 

But hey, i could be wrong. IF we DO get an exact version of him, he will either be a contest winning Prime, or we all be really surprised. Btw, Takara USUALLY beats Hasbro out of the water with this stuff. Last year thier JPN exclusive was Trans scanning Prime, we never saw the day light of that (unless inported from japanese importers) Still it was from japan where we had to order it from.

 

TRY BBTS.com, they may still have pre orders for him. He does look nice, but hes like $100 + bucks. I like mu 1st version just fine. I DID get Premium Prime (and Prem. Megs) last year & they are still sealed in thier plastic cages. :P

 

I really want the USA to bring over the die cast Alternity line. Hey maybe that new prototype is for the USA alternity line. I was thinking about it and last proto of an alternity fig you could see the die cast as a dif color, the new (maybe) "Drift" figure (or jazz/hot rod) looks to be ALL plastic.

I'm still mad they showed him after I bought normal Prime

I'm more interested in it for the gun than anything else...

Given Hasbro's track record, another Optimus Prime repaint / retool is very likely to be produced. Look at the first movie Prime mold. Optimus, Nightwatch and Premium. If the figure was cheaper, I'm sure they would have produced even more. Look at Bumblebee...

 

Now, movie 2 Prime. We have only one so far. We've seen a black Prime, Buster Prime and the original.

 

I hope we get atleast one more Leader Prime. They are repainting Leader Megatron and possibley releasing a Leader Starscream, too. The Leaders are sold two each per case, I think... So SS will be packed with Megs?

 

Will there be another wave after that to include SS with a Prime repaint?

 

I want a Buster Prime. A hundred bucks is a little steep for my budget. It's worth it for a Takara product, but I cant afford to buy "another" movie Prime right now...

It's a Prime figure, *and* a remold. There ain't no goddamned way that thing isn't making an appearance in US stores. :P

 

By the same coin though, I'd also all but guarantee it wont have all that lovely, shiney chrome. But I'm sure we'll either see a minor redeco using the new mold (NEST Commander Prime, or somesuch), a more traditional repaint using it (Nightwatch, Magnus, whateverwhatever), or some combination of both. There's no way Hasbro doesn't reuse a Prime mold, especially when the retool money's already been invested. Wouldn't be surprised to see this as the figure to round out the Casepack with Leaderscream, as I don't think Hasbro would want the sizeclass to be *all* Decepticons on the shelf.

The only reason why I see that it may come here is same as Universe Ratchet, Takara already did all the work. There was a vauge anouncement a couple weeks ago about a 2010 Leader Prime with 2009's pic in place, so who knows?

 

If this line does run as long as the first movie line did and they go into Premiums, I can see it happening. I think though with Animated filling some gaps, the NEST subline will be the end of it as they stated Universe is returning next fall.

 

Like it's been said though, time will tell.

 

It does suck for a fan though being left wondering if they should import neow or wait. It's not like the item is returnable. If I had the money, I'd get both the Black and Buster versions myself. Sadly though, it isn't last year.

I agree with Greatshot. Its probably coming out for ROTF but ytou know we will at least defintely see it by TF3. ;) Im hoping they have Primes knees and hip wheels retooled by then though, have his knee blocks rotate, and then his wheels hinge and swing down to "lock" onto his knees. Also have a flip open mask via on screen accurate. THEN & only then, will he be perfect. :tfgrin
