List of autobots who died in the 1986 movie

Recommended Posts

I know on the shuttle brawn, prowl, and ratchet died. Then later wheeljackand windcharger corpses are shown. The optimus prime died later. Then in season3 dark awakening huffer had a grave so he died. I know in the story boards red alert and trail breaker died but was a deleted scenes. One can argue gears was the 1 autobot who was dropped in the acid pit before daniel knocked it down. I heard blue streak and smoke screen died too but do you guys know for sure that blue streak, mirage, gears and smoke screen actually died. What about the oher autobots aside from the season1 and 2 survivors. like answer this did inferno, tracks, grapple, hoist and skids and skyfire die too in the movie since they made no appearnces in season 3 onward. so who were the autobots who died in the movie.

You forgot Ironhide. And really it doesn't totally matter because thanks to animation errors we see many of these characters later on in the series like Mirage and Shockwave (who were both supposedly killed off screen).

You also forgot that Kickback and Shrapnel were killed during the battle at Autobot City. And many were rebuilt or revived later (Optimus Prime is the most obvious example. Even Ironhide and Prowl were brought back during the Beast Wars comics to help form Magnaboss).

so many died i think this was all of them starscream, optimus, prowl, ratchet, ironhide, brawn, wind charger, wheeljack, several junkions.even though they were reformatted they technicly did die to become the sweeps, scourge and cyclonas- bombshell, thundercracker, skywarp, kickback, shrapnel poor bots and cons :tfsad

skyfire quit the show in season one or two and toured japan as a macross model. he later succumed to the tempations of alcohol and drugs and contracted AIDS in 1986. He died sometime in the 90's

Prowl later appears fighting alongside Ultra Magnus in The Headmasters and Wheeljack also appears in Victory where he and Perceptor rebuild God Ginrai into Victory Leo! :D

Mmm... inconsistent continuity fresh...

I thought the Japanese and American continuities didn't follow each other, as they didn't have the movie in japan till about 89, 3 years later than America and Europe? :shrug

It's probably best to assume that in the American continuity, all the Autobots who were shown on TV and had a toy released from between '84 and '85 died either on-screen or off with the exceptions of Bumblebee, Jazz, Cliffjumper, Blaster, Perceptor and possibly Hound and Sunstreaker (they were on the shuttle with Prime when he touched down on earth in the movie), as well as the Dinobots. I thought the mysterious possible Autobot on the conveyor belt inside Unicron was Beachcomber, actually.

Hey man, there's no way Time Warrior died. He's far too awesome! :)

You are correct. As far as continuity goes it is different between the US and Japan versions for G1. In the US it is the episodes from 84-86 in one continuity. Where as in Japan they continues the series from 84-89 before the movie was released killing off many or the G1 transformers. It actually goes much deeper than that but I am too lazy to right it all down.
