Really, who was asking for some stupid, giant sword to go with their Tranformers?

So, you actually, prior to knowing about these T.A.W. swords, consciously thought about having some random swords to go with you Transformers? Is that what you're saying?

So what would you want to go with your transformers? A box on wheels to go with your trucks that doesnt even combine? A ladder for a truck with a water cannon? A giant tube to go on the shoulder of a bot???

Seriously? :tfevil

No. I've not bothered with that weapons set. My Universe Inferno is just fine the way it is. Anyway, aside from obvious stuff like a trailer for Classics Prime and armor for Classics Ultra Magnus, I've never thought about extra accessories for my Transformers.

Here's my take. I'm always on the look out for new weapons. I'll go to the store and get the pirate sword tooth picks, snap off the guards and arm my guys up. In the dollar store if a toy has a cool weapon I'll bet it for that alone.

So in short, I can't be the only guy doing that so yes, there is a demand for swords and guns and what not. I'm happy that companies make them, i just hate the rape dollar charge.

I have made weapons for mine so I err dont mind buying em.. Just wish I could find that thing in the UK..

.

Including a circular saw for Alt Hot-Rod with a solid silver axis.. That you can barely see...

I just checked this on BBTS to see if there was a bundle price since RK isn't offering one. Not only do they don't, but they want $70 a pop!?!?!?!

I though $50 at RK was bad, but Jesus $70.........

Anyone who pays that can expect a swift smack to the back of the head from me!

THAT I agree with Gibbs..

If it came in red and was worth $20, I'd buy it. I have the G3 trailer, but Prime needs a visual upgrade for his robot mode, which doesn't make him look like CC Magnus.

Uh, you know there's 3 different versions right?

Now that I think about it, these are pretty old. I guess I forgot.... or maybe it wasn't worth remembering?

Considering the sword here is obviously a reproduction of the Grand Maximus sword that came with the Clear Godfire Convoy set, I can absolutely see a demand for it. RiD Omega Prime/GF Convoy is an awesome figure, but he's terribly under-armed. This is certainly a desirable piece for many people as the Clear GFC set is near impossible to find, and the regular version of those figures lacks the sword.

As for the rest.. eh. I typically don't mind the default weaponry that comes with my figs, but I've always thought that Hasbro was missing an opportunity for "free" money during the Energon era by not putting out sets of just the energon weapon pieces sold as, say a Basic/Scout/Minicon class pricepoint. Especially given they do sometimes put out a figure lacking any sort of firepower (looking at you, Classics Bumblebee).. and THAT bothers me. Each toy should have some sort of weapon accessory at least, whether it's mounted on their body lke the aforementioned Uni Inferno, or a handheld gun, or whatever.

But with all that in mind, there's just no flippin way I'm paying 60-70 bucks for a pack of guns and knives. 10 or 20? I'd think about it. Way more than the figure itself costs? Nuh-uh.

Actualy, this is a comletely new item only based on the Master Sword.

You can buy a reproduction of Master Sword though

If money was like last year, I'd be all over this too. One for Brave Max, another for Omega Prime.

One of my TF's has a dollar store accessory. My Powermaster Prime (or rather, Ginrai, since he's the Japanese version) has an extra gun that originally came with a dollar store knock-off Prime. It fits his hand perfectly, looks like a Prime gun, and allows his smaller robot to have a weapon without leaving any of them off of the base. 'Twas a nice find.

As for this sword... I don't mind buying expensive accessory kits. I've got the MP Megatron upgrade. I have Battle Rollar. I've got the G3 Trailer. I look forward to soon having City Commander. This sword, though? Not for $50.

Likewise, I'd love Inferno's ladder, but don't need much else in that set... Pity, as the price is worth it for the whole set but not for just the ladder. If I could ever find someone who wanted everything but the ladder who wanted to split the cost 50/50, I'd be a happy guy.

technically the one for prime and magnus is the Matrix Sword from RID
