Why would it have to be an autobot. As far as ive seen in this topic, its all been AUTOBOT leaders, not DECEPTICON. Take Zarak for instance. If he could build a underground city with his mind, he is quite capable of running a country. Maybe build up the American Industrys again. Maybe he'll control the minds of other dictators to rule in Americas favor.

Wheelie's banned from running for President

I say even Ironhide over G1 Prime. Why? He always wanted to chase down the 'cons and put them down for good. No more war. Prime always let them go, and then had to deal with them for 30 more minutes in the next episode. Great for keeping a cartoon full of episodes, bad for ending a war.

Ironhide talked a lot of crap. Prime was the only one who actually accomplished anything.
