Are rampages legs on the same post?

Recommended Posts

So it seems that Rampages legs are on the same post, meaning that they can't move independently from each other, which is fairly suck-tacular.

Or am I just being a fool and falling for the old stiff joint thing?

In other news, he's pretty nifty, especially in centaur mode (I might have my omnipresent Deadpool ride him.....battlecat style) and I'm quite glad I took the plunge and actually bought him.

Here's the modification tutorials to get Rampage with working joints; (courtesy Matt Booker.)

FWIW, I did some of those mods. Makes a HUGE difference, really gives you a whole new figure.

Yep yep, Matt Booker' and Jin Satomes(they are almost identical, Kudos to both) mods for Rampage seriously improve him while still keeping him functional in both modes.

Thanks for the links. I've started on the elbow mod, but I'll need to buy a wee saw of types. If I use a scalpel it's going to cut away too much of the plastic, which might make the actualy screw hole far too thin or break it.

I was talking to Matt about the cutting stuff/difficulty. I actually used these instead of a razor blade or other implements and it made the work much easier, faster along with minimal plastic loss.

Sprue cutters are indeed very good. I've got some lying about, bit for Rampages arm, they can be a bit much.

I think I need to buy some new tools actually. new files, blades, various grades of glass-paper and a saw of sorts.

Taaron, that has to be the mod from hell but, with the links you provided it is all very doable and easy to follow.

I thought so too originally about using them on his arms. I followed Matt's steps about scoring the thinner side parts of the arms, then I cut them until I hit the thinker section, then gently bent back and it separated clean. Cleaned up the cuts/break area and voila, ready to finish up the arms.

Granted I understand everyone has their methods of modding, but that was a great time saver. My x-acto blade was taking a lot of time as well as dulling them out hence the alternate route. Work smart, not hard. :thumb
