Then something like this in a green for Hoist!

Yeah, those are good ideas. Make one into Trailbreaker and then remold part of him to make Hoist. :thumb

Personally at this moment, I would be thrilled with a G1 Reissue of Trailbreaker. I never agreed with the idea of the Hound recolor being Trailbreaker regardless of the colors. Regardless if it is a Alternator or a G1 Reissue, I just hope one is released soon. Trailbreaker was always one of my favs ...

Magnum = :puke

Looks a little goofy? Huh? The robot mode looks pretty kickass, doesnt look like it needs anything. Except..

Being a Mopar guy I say ya shoulda went with a ram. Or if you HAD to do a ford, at least make him a single cab shortbed. And paint it red and call it Ironhide if youre dead set on that particular alt mode. A cowboy cadillac like that suits Ironhide perfectly, but being an offroader myself I have never once seen a rig like that clawing its way up a steep rocky trail. Cruising around an oil field or a ranch absolutely. But still, great work.

considering trailbreaker was a bulky suv in the cartoon and toy.  the licoln navigator is a big bulky suv and fits trail breaker.

I agree that an SUV would fit him better, but Trailbreaker was just a truck with camper shell.

Though the head is remarkable Trailbreaker-ish on Swindle, that doth naught a Trailbreaker make. The body feels all wrong for Trailbreaker, especially him as a jeep. Swindle fits the bill perfectly and the way he's colored, I think the head suits him rather nicely. I imagine if they do a trailbreaker down the line it'll be molded almost verbatim after the cartoon character head and there'll be some widget poppin' up behind his head.

To each his own, but personally even back in '84, I thought Trailbreaker should have been a Jeep; just not the military version used for Hound. More of an off-roadified version of the same mold, which is EXACTLY why I love the idea of Swindle getting the TB treatment eventually. And I always thought Ironhide should have been the name/persona applied to that toyota truck instead of the red van. And then decorate the red van into a radio/TV van (like E-towline) and make that guy a communications tech kinda guy. What do you guys think about my version of G1?

But my biggest argument for why the Jeep should be Trailbreaker is simply reality. Whats the number one vehicle used for offroading and trailriding? The Jeep Wrangler. So the name and even the personality fit such a vehicle. Any pickup in the Alt. line probably needs to be Ironhide first, and Kup second. In my most humblest of opinions, anyway.

They already made Trailbreaker, he's named "Swindle"

BC--is that one of your repaints, or is that the original proto for Trailbreaker? Or did you just photoshop that yourself? Its badass either way...

I never agreed with the idea of the Hound recolor being Trailbreaker regardless of the colors.

I would much rather prefer NATO`S idea`s. He has some good ones. I would love to see that photoshoped. One of Hoist also. :thumb :thumb :thumb :thumb :thumb

One thing to remember... has there been ANY "large" car to have been made into an Alt/BT yet? No. I doubt HasTak's going to go beyond the price point they already have for the line and create a much larger figure out of a much larger car. They seem to want to keep that 1/24 size, and, if so, something like a pickup truck, Magnum, or SUV is going to be way too large.
