I think the polarization is simply age. The younger crowd is more easily pleased and doesn't expect as much. The forest scene alone covers nearly 2 hours of horrible writing, character developement and flaws.

Well you may have a point there, considering the relative success of stupid movies like Meet the Spartans. But I'm with Shellformer here. is a 2-minute fight scene enough to not only keep me glued to a screen for 2 and a half hours, but also make me want to watch the whole damned thing 6 times? Personally, I wasn't even impressed with that forest scene; I already cited several action sequences that own that forest scene and its grandmother to boot.

I just don't understand how we got such a high-class blockbuster film like "The Dark Knight" last year, and this year we get "Transformers: Revenge of the Really Shallow Sequel Film" Oh, right, M. Bay. Say no more.

Also, out of curiosity, these action sequences of awesome; where did you cite them at? I'm curious to see your "Cream of the crop" as I like a good fight scene myself.

Personally, just throwin stuff out, if anybody out there wants to see a good "Martial Arts action sequence" that is lite on "Special Effects" but HUGE on awesome, Pretty much the entire film of "Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior" seems like a pretty good bet to me. (Be warned though, it takes a while to get going, but when it does LOOK OUT!)

Im 35 and I loved the Movie. My wife who hates TFS Liked the movie. The "Masses" Enjoyed the movie so much I bet theyre not gonna stop with 3 movies.

4 stars.

Plenty of awesome robot action, but too much romantic BS. I hate Megan Fox...

The other loss of points is because they took a shit on Starscream and gave us that....thing with his name.....

Im 32 and voted 4 stars, movie one was DEFINITELY a 5 star! This movie was less "realistic" then movie 1 imo, thats all. Like the forrest scene seemed fake but maybe it was my sh*t for a town movie theater idk

I can't speak for the rest of the older crowd, but I went into the movie hoping for the best. What I got fell short of what I would call 'the best.' One fight scene--that isn't better than at least one other fight sequence in the Bayverse continuity (the Bonecrusher/Prime '07 pier-six brawl on the freeway gets my vote) simply cannot make up for the for the other 2 some-odd hours of unwashed shite on basis of the fact that a) without proper character developement, you don't care about any of the characters involved, b) without properly establishing your primary antagonists and making them seem like credible threats, you don't have a sense of danger or excitement, and a scene loses its edge and the protaganist--both primary and otherwise lose credibility as well and c) there's no fast forward button in the movie theater...so whatever Edgar Allen Poe-inspired horrors the movies' got waiting for you will quickly dilute the thrill of a fight scene, however great.

Nailed it. :thumb Voted 23 and under 3 stars or less. I give it one and half stars. Loved the work that DD and ILM put into these bots just wish the bots was more explored.
