I don't remember Blot having many speaking parts??? As for the Dynobots... they made Corky from Life Goes On look like Einstein!!!

Whether they were racist or not, they WERE annoying. Bay says "it's for the kids"? Really? For the kids? This movie was not kid friendly at all. With all the foul language (mostly from the twins) and the overly excessive sexual references, this was most definitely not a movie for the kids. I was quite disappointed with the language and the large amounts of sexual references. If it wasn't for that stuff, the movie would have been much better. They could have used that time instead to fill in some of the plot holes and story. But I can see how people would see the twins as being a racial stereotype, they pretty much were. I definitely would have liked to have seen more of Sideswipe, the bikes, Ironhide and Ratchet instead of so much of the twins.

I think the only time I laughed at the twins was when Devastator got a bad taste in his mouth. :tflaugh Felt bad for Devs though..... :puke

By the way, I have to say "can't read" is rather different from "can't read an ancient alien language spoken by their enemies and have to go get one to do so". And the "pussy" comment was hilairious. Because he was.

When I watched the movie I didn't see Mudflap and Skids as racist, just stereotypical...Big difference! I'm not black but my friend who actually is and also isn't even a big Transformers fan LOVED Skids and Mudflap,

sure they are a bit stereotypical but what they actually accomplished in the movie makes up for it enough and gives whoever Bay tries to depict them as as heroes. What if they aren't even black, just Malibu's most wanted or Paul Wall or Eminem, You can't even tell, Transformers are just ONE RACE!!! They don't trans-scan people of Earth, Just the our VEHICLES!

It's a movie, about giant robots. Skids and Mudflap have an attitude which I've seen on the streets where I live, hell, I work with a guy who talks and acts like that, he's 17 and he's white (and ginger, hehehe).

 

Honestly, I'd argue the point that finding the Twins as a racist element *is* in itself racist as someone is seeing such a clear divide in the way they act.speak and classing it as racist. It's like hiring a guy because he's black, it's still as racist as not hiring him for the same reason.

 

I hate this PC ridden world.

Perhaps folks had a problem with Jazz or Blaster too? They WERE the comedic aspect in an otherwise humorless movie. Let's face it, that flick got a little heavy at times. Bots and people were getting blown up left and right. Let's have some brevity in here and referance some human (that's right HUMAN) slang. We all made that kind of talk 'funny' not Mr. Bay.
