I so wanted to like it, but ROTF is just not a good movie

The smirking is iconic to his character though. OP, Soundwave, etc, have always been like that. But starscream made full use of his face. The persona does NOT fit with a face that can only express neutral and negative emotions!

You can see him talking as though he's happy in ROTF. But his face makes him look like he's angry for being happy. It's the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen!

Lastly, I didn't find the twins to be racist either time I saw the movie either. They came across as hillbillies to me, not ghetto people. I think everyone's over analyzing them

Thank you!!

Furthermore I think people are overanalyzing the whole movie in general.

I'm not gonna knock anyone's opinion really. But I like Starscream because he's not just another evil miserable grunt like the other Decepticons or a grumpy old fart like Megatron. He enjoys what he does and he loves being evil. The smirk symbolizes a more exciting villain and makes him look more sinister.

That's why I will never accept Hellscream as part of the Starscream community. I refuse to call him "Starscream".

Well, I have to say, I saw it for the first time yesterday, and I liked it much more than the first movie. To me, it made more sense. I still find the first one mind numbing and stupid beyond comparison. This one had more pieces that were likable amongst the poor writing. I still hate the robot designs and the humor, but I've gotten used to them. I'll probably see it again in the theater.

WOW! YOu guys really have alot to bitch about. I read all posts & the humor was decent and NOT inappropriate for a theater movie in such a fashion. IMO the CGI was worse (especially the woods scene) and thats all i had to semi bitch about although im not butt-headed enough to not enjoy it or to critisize a otherwise great movie.

The characterazation could have been alot better BUT they could have not made the movie at all .. right?

Altogether imo movie 1 was better and my dad agrees but i still like "revenge"

*characterization*

Ummm.... I'm gonna stick my neck out and say that I personally would have preferred they hadn't made it, rather than make it poorly or even just "okay".

However, I can completely understand how one can enjoy the film and find it entertaining. The second time I saw it I found it very entertaining, because I was able to decipher what was actually going on.

However, (In My Opinion at least) if a movie has as thin a plot as ROTF, you really shouldn't have to watch it multiple times to decipher it; so it must therefore be an extremely questionable piece of film making. So I punched the little person in my head who enjoyed it, and told them to shut up, and am currently plotting to get Michael Bay deported to Antarctica. (Just Kidding, Just Kidding! :lol But can you imagine "Michael Bay's: March of the Penguins"? hmmm... That might actually be worth seeing...)

However, before you tell me I'm an idiot, bear in mind that I'm not dissing anyone who enjoyed it; as I said, the part of me that wasn't seething with rage at all the wasted opportunity enjoyed it very much, so there ya go. :tfgrin (Runs away really fast from the pursuing lynch mob)

It wasn't bad, but I do feel disapointed.
that is exactly how i felt but it doesn't deserve the crap people are saying about it and if Micheal bay is reading this you and the cast and crew did an amazing job and please ignore the dumb critics and make the third film despite what they say I'll go help write the third film a if i have to besides there are way worse sequels such as superman 3-4 and returns, blade trinity, shrek the third,spider-man 3,2fast2furious,Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem the chronicles of riddick ,batman and robin, batman forever, the robo-cop sequels, the resident evil sequels so when compared to those sequels revenge of the fallen is probably the third greastest sequel ever made the first is the empire strikes back and revenge of the sith is the second

Nope, ROTF pretty much ranks in the same place as all those sequel movies. Ok, maybe not as bad as AVP:R, I'll give it that much. But pretty much in the realm of mediocre-to-terrible sequels. BTW Robocop 2 was actually pretty decent.

I do agree that Empire Strikes Back is one of the best sequels ever, but disagree about Revenge of the Sith; that is one of the worst in the Star Wars prequels. That movie was messier than a Bayformer's scrapply innards. It was so bad, Natalie Portman couldn't keep a straight face when spitting out her terrible, cheesy lines.

And could we please stop the critic bashing? I find it funny that everyone is going "critics are stupid, they don't know what they're talking about! is greatest movie EVAR!!!!11" Look, movie reviews are there to give you an idea of if something is worth watching. In the end, you decide if it's your cup of tea, right?

Let's put it in a context that we can all understand.Toy Reviews. Some of our peers buy toys early, analyze it, so the rest of us have a general idea if we should buy them or not. They all have different tastes: what may be "neat" for peaugh may be "ok, but I have a few issues with it" for Vangelus, or "WTF is it with this toy?!?" for Starscream(NBNA100 on youtube). However, there are times when several reviewers will have the same opinion on one particular toy, and usually that's a good indicator whether to buy it or not.

Now, going back to movies: several people who are paid to watch movies every week, or sometimes, daily (and therefore have a ton of experience on what makes a good movie, just like collectors with hundreds in their catalogue have a ton of experience on toys) watch a particular film, and find it absolutely abhorrent. Are they right? Now while there are times when I totally disagree with some critics' opinions on a film (Letters from Iwo Jima being a good example; I found that film horrendous), more often than not, if the general opinion is negative, I would take their recommendations to heart. I could still watch the film, but more often than not, I'd regret that decision, especially since unlike a paid movie reviewer, I have to shell out money to watch a flick.

In a down weekend at the box office, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has reached another milestone. According to studio estimates, the film grossed another $8 Million at the box office, netting a domestic total of $379.1 million in receipts so far.

The film has made a little over $406 mil in the foreign box office with a worldwide total of $785.2 mil. With the weekend gross, the film has now surpassed Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King to become the 10th on the list of highest-grossing pictures of all time.

The film only needs a little over $1 mil to surpass the other revenge movie, Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith to take the ninth spot.

Thank God most people in the world don't agree with the ROTF haters. Saw it 5 times, loved it more every single time. Can't wait for the DVD.

Right...there seriously something wrong with the people that didn't LOVE every aspect of ROTF. As mentioned these people are very easily entertained. :tflaugh
