Please! Somebody tell me that Soundwave mutli-pack will be available retail and not through some slagging convention or club! I want that as self-Xmas gift!

Wait, so is this G1 Unicron just for show, or is this going to see actual production?

The G1 Unicron was originally slated to be released in 1986, but was never released... for reasons quite obvious now.

That Hasbro Vault Unicron has always cracked me up...I chuckled a little when I clicked to enlarge the pic! :tflaugh

Dude, right there with ya!!!

Why was G1 Unicron never released?

Why was G1 Unicron never released?

Cuz it was poo?

I dunno, I think the offical reason was more like the cost and size of it all.. but don't hold me to that. Either that or they couldn't find a way to make it look good as a sphere back then.. engineering in 86 and all.

If there's one thing Armada was good for.....

Seriously though .. I wouldn't mind that Soundwave set. Save me the hassle of ordering that big mission set. Although I do need new versions of Eject and Rewind.. so many choices man.. so many choices.. I hate having left over toys that I don't have much of a use for.

I know I should respect the classics..but I have to draw the line here. this thing is a piece. I would'nt pay 10$ for that thing. I saw the original at a show once in Ohio about 8 yrs ago and the guy was trying to sell it for like, a ga-jillion dollars. Good luck with all of that. Peeeyewwww!

If I knew they were gonna do a Soundwave set with 4 tapes, I would have waited. I have the one from the first Classics line with just Ravage and Lazerbeak. I want all the tapes. lol. G1 Unicron looks like an Ore Bot in robot mode. His planet mode is the jam though!

Looks more like an Animated version of Unicron to me.... reminds me of Dr. Robotnik/Eggman

As for Soundwave, I gotta pick him up this time, stupid TRU and their exclusive, only thing close to a G1 Soundwave I have is Titanium.

Where is neo unicron?? He had the best planet mode of them all.

At least G1 Unicron was spherical. He's got that going over the Armada version. I agree with the above poster, I'm still holding out for the Neo mold (or something comparable) to go into production. Although I would totally pick up G1 'cron if they ever decided to reissue it or something.

I like the Unicron that we got.

G1 Unicron would have been they type of thing that no one liked, but we'd all chase anyway!!!

I would like to see the Armada Unicron get a heavy retool though. Again I like it, but who knows what types of improvments they could do on it now!?!
