I have a feeling we won't see Soundwave in robot mode at all

Recommended Posts

If he's just gonna be attached to a satellite the entire time orbiting the Earth there is not need to be in robot mode. I really, really hope that pic of him as a Chevrolet Silverado is real and that it get made into a toy because I'd be the first to buy it and that we will see him as that in the movie.

This may be true...

If this is the case, it might be a blessing in disguise that the preview wave seems to be bogus. I'd rather spend moolah these days on figures that are actually gonna get a decent amount of screen time. Wait though, aren't they getting Frank Welker to voice Soundwave? That's gotta mean he'll end up in bot mode at some point (now who knows in what alt mode?)...maybe I need to hit up some of the spoiler threads for some additional info!

Didn't Kurtzman and Orci say that he's present at Megatron's resurrection?

In the comic adaptation Soundwave is not present at the resurrection of Megatron, and does not appear in robot mode.

I think Soundwave will show up in bot mode during or after the credits. He'll probably say something to Megatron like, "The REAL army of Decepticons are on their way" or "The upgrades are ready" (Voyager Megatron)

I think hes only gonna be seen extensively once in the film. We'll see him come from the blackness of space, slowly approach a satellite and begin to transform, during which we'll see a brief glimpse of robot mode and then he'll combine with the satellite.

Occasionally we'll see him floating around in space.

Then maybe at the end we'll see him finally come to Earth and lay the smack down on the Autobots.

Random question: Generally how big are satellites? Because if they are only as big as what i think they are then Soundwave wont be very big compared to the other TFs.

Depends. Anything orbiting a planet is a satellite, including the moon ;)

He may or maynot show up as robot mode, but for sure he won't be in a battle. Here's hoping I am wrong.

Yet in the begaining of all of this Orci and Kurtzman made it a point to include Soundwave in this round because they knew the fandom was so disappointed in not seeing him the last time. It was like "well, plays a major role in the story!!!!"

From a writing stand point there is no reason why they couldnt have had him on earth in bot mode. I like the preview wave soundwave. Would have loved to see him do something like drain energy or send out sound wave with all of his panels extended out.

Oh well, we won't see him. Enough on that.

However as a toy I think hasbro might make the truck version of him because obviously that pic of him became popular with the fans like quick!
