Yeah the rapping is cheezy. Reminds me of Marky Mark. I like Stan's new vocals though and the guitar solo is BADASS!!! Not better than the original though.

I have to agree, somewhat. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch it, as yet.

 

It seems a little "mid-life (professional) crisis" for my tastes.

 

That doesn't mean that a remade song by him should be bad, just that this remade version appears to be, from the reaction of fans.

 

Still, nice of Stan to re-make the video.

 

Anyone remember there was some band or another who WERE officially billed to make a TF live action movie song and their "video" was also just spliced trailer footage? They even had parts of the trailer "soundtrack" (effects, speaking etc) "mixed" in with it.

 

Looked like a fan-made mash-up too...

I've just downloaded it as an mp4 from youtube (damn thing would only play with VLC player for some reason) and it's not as bad as people make out. Listen again to the stuff people made for the FIRST album and you can see that he has a chance.

 

Im sure Mr Bush wants this to either be in the credits (good idea) and especially the soundtrack album, which would always be a good idea. Considering that the last "movie soundtrack" featured songs some of us already owned and also and more importantly, didn't appear in the actual film itself, then I'd say Stan has just as much a chance to be included in the soundtrack CD.

 

Mind you, as youtube has this as a HD (mp4) file...

After hearing it a few times, Yeah, the rap is stupid and typical. I feel bad for Stan though. People here and on Youtube are trashing him for this. He's just trying to get some glory while TF is bigger than ever. It's not a bad song, though the video is cheeseball.
