Well it seems that I was thoroughly wrong about my core customers comments. Looking back, it was foolish of me to say such things. I think I've spent too long actually being part of a company's target group (miniatures).

 

I saw in the current issue of toyfare, pictures of animated Arcee and Electrostatic Soundwave (aka, Soundblaster) and Ratbat. I hadn't seen them before so I'm not sure if they're for a forthcoming wave, or just something that will end up being cancelled.

 

They are a part of an upcoming wave that might include Wingblade Optimus Prime, Cybertronic Ratchet, Rodimus and Blackout. Now that ROTF toys are hitting stores, I highly doubt that we will see them tho. Maybe next year if Animated returns.

Aw pooh. I really want a Rodimus. There was nothing said in Toyfare regarding whether the animated toys would be cancelled. Just that their release was "Summer". But, they were advertised along with some of those non-transforming movie monstrosities, so who knows what's actually coming out in summer.

Toyfair or anybody else for that matter probably don't know the ultimate fate of the new Animated toys. Only Hasbro knows for sure and so far, they haven't said anything. Probably waiting for Botcon to either display them and get us excited, or to not show them and never talk about them again. I say give them to Takara, they would release them in a heartbeat, with awesome pain apps to boot.

I was interested in Hyrdo BB too. Not so much whatever crappy accessory it came with but just the figure itself. Btw, wasnt that submarine accessory supposed to be in an episode or something? And yes, Golfire Grimlock was full of fail.

Yeah, I have the deluxe BB, who's too big, and The Activator BB that came with Purple Shockwave.

 

Alot of people seem to like Activators Bee more than the deluxe, but I hay how he looks.

 

Hydro BB was exactly what I was looking for, Smaller than the deluxe, not deformed like the activator...

I went to Target yesterday and it looks like Animated is getting cleared out... Bye Bye one of the best line ever...

I don't mean like, where are Strika or other Animated figures that we haven't even heard a whisper of. I mean where is Arcee, Soundblaster redeco w/ Ratbat, Blackout, Cybertron Mode Ratchet, Universe Robot Heroes Inferno, Tigatron, Predaking, Stepper, RiD Megs/Prime, Prowl, Laserbeak? I also haven't even seen a Legends Wheelie, Rodimus, Warpath, Cosmos, Beachcomber or Cliffjumper!

 

I haven't seen anything in the news about these guys. I think those few legends got released, tho i havent seen em, but are the rest just doomed to be forgotten in the shadow of Revenge of the Fallen? Fukkin movie. :9000

Those robot heroes in bold, I see them at Tru all the time :P and I found Beachcomber earlier (unfortunately it doesn't look like the other minibots are coming out here so it'll have to be Henkei)

 

posted pics in the UK sightings a couple weeks ago of the robot heroes actually.

 

You guys should think yourselves lucky, Universe and Animated never really shipped any of the 2009 waves, everywhere just has universe wave 2 and 3 unless you're really lucky and animated Blurr and Swindle are still hard to find, (don't even mention the voyagers, never seen a shockwave of skywarp anywhere) with any luck once TRU put up their display we'll see some of the animated stock and universe stock come out beyond waves saturating everywhere since November 2008.
