The episode looks a bit silly to me, they they've so far shown no redeeming features for Sentinal at all. IMO it shows a lack of character development, either that or they just want people to concentrate all their dislike on him instead of the more ilconceived characters.

Not sure if you've noticed, but Sentinel's always been a jackass. Although, the "lust for power" thing is a bit new. I mean, sure we knew he didn't agree with the way Magnus ran things, but I wasn't aware he had THAT much hubris...

Datascream's correct. Sentinel's hubris is legendary. The guy is an insufferable, arrogant, full of himself jackass who's head is shoved so far up his exhaust port it ain't funny. He doesn't have any redeeming qualities, and yes, the others have noticed, particularly Jazz. I am quite certain that he is fully intended to be a character we all love to hate. As for his "lust for power", it isn't all that new. He's always been self-aggrandizing, putting his own interests first. Even in Autoboot camp, he was making it well known that he thinks Ultra Magnus is too old and outdated to remain in command, and should step down. So his wanting to take Magnus' place now that Magnus is out of commission is no surprise to me. It's what he's always wanted. Too bad he doesn't have even a tenth of the leadership skills to do the job.

There's actually a lot of Star Wars comparisons going on lately with :animated. We've had Prowl's whole experience with his 'Obi-wan' master & his 'processor over matter' (ala 'the force'). This episode shows 'the council'...and now it looks like 'Anikan is being tempted by the dark side' or maybe Sentinel will turn out to be a 'Luke'...ahhh, who am I kidding, he's too much of a jackass to be either one! I don't think they'd do it, but it would provide for good entertainment if Sentinel turned 'bad'.

 

All the G1 references are definitely getting heavier in this season...LOVIN' IT!

Crap.. I hate these preview clips.. I always want to see the whole thing afterwords... gotta wait till Saturday now. =(

Besides the whole Seninel's a jerkwad bit and the whole (hinted) Decepticon escape, I'm looking forward the most for Sari in this episode. I bet the AllSpark power the absorbed from her Key made her a living AllSpark and helped her get the information to fix the space bridge. I still feel bad about the relationship between Prof. Sumdac and Bulkhead. I wish they'd get along while they're doing work...

 

I'm still a bit edgy on Perceptor's voice because I'm used to his G1 counterpart's. Alpha Trion was a nice touch as well to give him a speaking role this time since his appearance in "Transwarped". I just wish TFA would go on forever, or at least longer than 3 seasons. There's still so much that hasn't been explained and we only have 3 episodes left until the end of Season 3!

 

Oh, and the best part of the preview?

 

Sentinel Prime: All due respect, Alpha Trion, the council should concern itself with more important matters... like beefing up security for the Decepticon prisoners that *ahem* I captured...

Damn! Sentinel Prime sure does have slag for brains. How does Jazz put up with working so close to him. lol. I really like the upgraded teenage Sari. She's badass. I don't like Perceptor's voice. I miss his rambling nervous techno babble from the G1 series. Glad to see Alpha Trion though! Oh and yeah, I liked Conair by the way.
