I was okay with "Wasp" .. but "Waspinator" atleast in animated terms, not so much. I don't like his voice, I don't like the fact that he's not a screwball..

But thats probably me being a Beast Wars purist.. if there is such a thing. :tflaugh

That guy is huge! If he was in Beast Wars like that, he'd easily out do almost all of the predicons as top dog.. screw inferno or rampage..

I really don't like the Animated Beast Wars stuff so much.. I appericate the effort, but it just doesn't feel like it really belongs in the contiunity. If they're going to do it proper, they need to have something like a secluded band of transformers who have organic-ish beast modes tucked away in some far off corner of the galaxy and quit treating it like it's some kind of horrible disfiguring mutation.

Lookin foward to the next one! :tfgrin

For those ( like myself) who missed it.

A really good quality version can be found at veoh in its entirity, no seperation into parts.

The site doesn't download well on my computer. Its either still buffering or stops completely. As far as quality goes....well....it doesn't seem to be all that "good."

Only plus side is the lack of "parts."

Thanks though.

Hm..looked really good (almost dvd quality) on my connection but oh well :) Silly tempermental computery internets.

The title of the episode seems odd to me, anyone else? If there was a firm continutiy connection between Beast Wars and Animated, then the title would fit, but that isnt the case. I like the nods to Beast Wars ALOT, but naming an episode Predacons Rising without any connection to Beast Wars aside from character names or any mention of Predacons from any continuity just seems like an odd choice. A minor -minor- thing no doubt regardless.

Personally, I happened to love this episode A LOT. It's probably up there with "Transwarped" and "Five Servos of Doom" as best episodes of Season 3 so far.

We finally have a (temporary) conclusion to the Wasp (oops, Waspinator) arc and some really great character development between the two Primes. Sentinel is a great character when he's not a total jerkwad :redface and I was really excited with his confrontation with BA. The whole scene was really a heart-tugger, especially when Sentinel declares that Elita-1 went offline a long time ago (a metaphor possibly?) and that this impostor was an abomination. The follow-up at the end when he and Optimus had settled their differences made me feel all warm inside, even when Sentinel called him "buddy" was a nice touch for the end of the episode. Now, what's going to happen back on Cybertron with Sentinel in charge, I wonder?

I actually loved Wasp through the whole arc, but this episode made me really sorry for him to even trust BA and her feminine charms. Even him stepping through the Transwarp transporter ("The Fly" references was a nice touch) and him screaming in agony as he mutated gave me the tingles. Waspinator clearly scared the bejesus out of me when he fist appeared (he's HUGE!), especially his line "Wasp not thing. Wasp upgrade." Bumblebee's apology near the end was a little too late, but the scene kinda tied some things up, showing Wasp's transformation into the monster he's become. "Wasp...forgive Bumblebot... BUT WASPINATOR NEVER FORGIVE!"

BA was really cool too. Besides the fact that she used Wasp as a guinnea pig for her 'cure', we FINALLY get to see what her face looks like without her helmet (which was AWESOME). We also realize that her Autobot side is still there as she 'saves' Sentinel, Optimus, Bumblebee and the Twins from the Transwarp explosion. After winding up into parts (or planet or even timeline?) unknown, it will leave us fans wondering if we'll ever see her or Waspinator again.

The "Beast Wars" cameos were a nice touch by the actual creators of "BW" (who also wrote this episode!) Thanks so much guys for giving me a jump back to my childhood!

Also, "Primer Prime" = LOL. Oh, Sentinel... ;)

Damn I hope there is a season 4 now, Animated Maximals plz!

Tho I have to wonder how there is a Cheetah, a Gorilla, and a Rhinoceros on an island in Lake Michigan in North America in the first place.

transwarp explosion teleported them?

I think Waspinator's last line in this should have been his toys motto

"Waspinator have plans"

I think his last line of the episode should've been, "Why universe hate Waspinator?"

Dude, I can top that.

"Waspinator have headache in his WHOLE body..."

LOL that was an awesome Episode, did anyone else get the FLY reference from her "trans-warp Pods" which was hilarious considering the spider and wasp basis of the characters. And with note to the early Spoiler image of season three..the rat WAS a reference to Rat-trap... That's Great! I was hoping and they didn't disappoint YAH!!!

Beast Wars "easter eggs" (and quite apt: Happy Easter btw!):

- "Primer Prime" (ie: Primal Prime, the reformatted control suit used in BW)

- "Maximum Burn" (Optimal Optimus says this when in his jet mode)

- Beast Wars Optimus Primal, Ratrap, Cheetor and Rhinox beast modes at the end of the episode.

- Waspinator "pulling himself together".

- and of course, Blach Arachnia herself.

I wonder if they will have a "Call of the Primitives" ep later on?

I take it that no one remembers this this episode was actually guest penned by the Beast Wars writers themselves? It makes a lot of sense that there were a ton of Beast Wars nods in this episode.

Anywho, I thought that the plot and dialogue was fantastic. It tied together several different story and character arcs and went along very smoothly. A lot of closure between conflicting characters and a possible new techno-organic theme for Season 3. (Leading into Season 4?)

Now that the Elite Guard has left Earth, I'm guessing we're going to see more human interaction with the bots. Although, I guess that's an obvious statement being that the next installment is "Human Error."

My guess is that the Autobots get turned into humans somehow, adding credibility to the leaked line art.

All in all, a great episode coming in second place in my favorites behind "Transwarped."

They get hologram projectors like Prowl does, so they can actually have drivers is my bet.

I quite enjoyed this episode. As much as I hate Sentinel, you can't help but laugh at his interactions with Optimus. waspinator's size was certainly a surprise. Not sure I really like the direction the character is headed. He's more evil. He's not that lovable unlucky goof from BW. I actually much preferred him as Wasp, at least then I could understand him 100% of the time.

SP is still a dick but he's fun to watch with OP. I enjoyed the episode though. Loved the tribute to BW.

I really like Sentinel's position as Optimus's foil in the series. But as the commander of Cybertron in Ultra Magnus's absense...omg :alert ....I hope they explain in a flashback at some point just how SP became second-in-command. :redface
