Alt/Binaltech Shoulder Cannon

Recommended Posts

Hey I was wondering if anyone was making a mold of the shoulder cannon found on the new 2004 Smokescreen for copies. I havent come across any yet, if anyone has please post. Thanks!

i too am also interested in this!

I talked to a couple repro guys about making one, and the main answer I got is that Hasbro is choking out the repro makers, to insure they aren't bootlegging their products...It's okay to repro custom parts, but making a direct repro of a part is illegal, according to Hasbro. They didn't mind the G1 repro parts until recently when they started reissuing the G1 toys...If Hasbro plans to bring that cannon over, it's gonna be a selling point for the repaint that it's stuck on, so I figure they'd probably choke out any repro guy who's makin it...sucks

well... maby a repro guy could make a set that's actrually good... as opposed to the one that comes with the new smokes.

it's rather bland and dosn't really look like anything... i mean it kinda just looks like a stick of plastic stuck on his shoulder. i mean they aren't terrible but they could be much better.

Yeah, I have the new Smokes - the shoulder cannon could use some paint apps.

so far we havent heard anything from a new Smokescreen release by hasbro (new mold) (we havent even seen protos or testshots on ebay, while we are up to Ravage already) so it can't be illegal against Hasbro ans thus possible to make

Cyclonus makes a very valid point. But if hasbro were to realease the shoulder cannon as a seperate peice thru a store, probably TrU, then they probably could.

Well I wouldnt mind having the part as a reproduction piece with a slight modification if thats what it takes to make it legal. I really cant see these parts being sold as seperate pieces in stores. Seeing as how this is the only add on we've had so far in the line, there would probably have to be atleast a few more add on weapons for them to consider selling it as an accessory pack in stores.

If anyone has some modification ideas for the shoulder cannon (slight remolding) not paint apps, shout 'em out. I would like to see if we could get this done.
