Everyone is allowed their opinion, we cannot change one persons mind on what they believe, if they believe it strong enough and are willing to fight for it. So I respect everyone opinion to choose for themselves, its all personal choice anyway. So make the choice and dont regret it.

What part of "its against the law" is so hard to comprehend? Same deal with a G1 Megatron reissue, if they could do it, that would be the best selling reissue in the US of all time. Hasbro is a business so making lots of money is appealing to them. So therefore if they could do a reissue Megatron they would. But since its against the law there is nothing they can do.

 

As for a Masterpiece, its impossible. The RM would have to match up to Prime's RM which means the gun mode would be huge, thus destroying the purpose of creating a realistic gun alt mode. Everything done these days is a joint venture so Hasbro no go, Takara will most likely follow

 

thats only because of the extra cost to import takara if you lived in japan you wouldn't say well its cheaper to get hasbro you have to think which do you prefere if you saw both in the store. i think that that is one of the reasons people prefere hasbro the fact that you don't have to pay extra to get the product to you.

 

That's true but also look at the general base prices:

 

Deluxe: $10(US) $18(JP)

Mega: $20 (US) $23(JP)

Ultra: $25(US) $36(JP)

Super: $40 (US) $47(JP)

 

Throw in shipping costs and it gets worse...and the fact is as Super Link has showed, Hasbro's products are more show accurate and superior anyway (although some SL products like Nightscream and Grand Convoy are exceptions) so why even bother?

 

 

I see it all as a matter of helping the company that will do something for us. Who heard our demands for Arm Skywarp, Energon Magnus, Decepticon Alts? Hasbro. The more US fans support Hasbro, the better. Supporting Takara does nothing for us. Importing a Roadbuster from Japan leaves one Ironhide on a shelf in the US. Its in fans best interest to see Hasbro succeed. Look at what happened when Armada was a sucesss: we got a repaint line, a reissue line, Alternators. Why? Because we showed support and helped the brand to become more sucessful

I'm not so sure of that. Japan has beast molds that were never released here and they did shrink Megatron. Who may or may not see release here, along with Kicker, and the Demolishor,Cyclonus repaints.

 

Masterpiece does not equal Binaltech. Binaltech's focus is realism. Masterpiece Convoy's truck mode is not the most faithful representation of a Freightliner COE, G1 Prime was a better interpretation.

 

In my opinion, if Takara wants to make Masterpiece Megatron, they will. He'll just be a friggin huge Walther. And as I've always said, other than Binaltech, there is no strict TF toy scale.

That's my point: we aren't the market they make their products for therefore they don't care about us. They don't give a damn what US consumers want, they have their own market to worry about.

 

We are Hasbro's market therefore they DO care about what we want (and no they do this for business purposes but that's what a good business does).

Reissues' has to be the best example of why we should be happy we have both companies! Whatever Hasbro don't offer like Megatron and Soundwave, I get Takara!

 

I bought a MP Prime because I plan on getting the 20th Ann. Prime too! (I like what both have to offer!)

 

As far as Energon, Armada, and Alt./binal. goes. That is where hasbro gets all my support because of prices and the willingness to listen to fans and improve their work from Armada to Energon.

 

All in All I love both companies because they make the toys we argue over! :wave

Yes, I hate how people seem to think this is a matter of courage or outright not caring about the fans. Hasbro's hands are tied, folks. And if they didn't care about what the fans think, why is Energon a giant love letter to G1?
