Why we need Quentissons in the Movies.

Recommended Posts

The Quentissons were a race of robotic beings that, millenia ago, made a failed attempt to conquer the then-peaceful world of Cybertron.

However, the Cybertronians rallied and thanks to their courage, resourcefulness, and in no small part, to their unique transforming abilities, succeeded in driving off the invaders.

Defeated, the Quentissons withdrew to their homeworld and, having realised how badly they had underestimated the inhabitants of Cybertron, proceeded to study them from afar. In time they developed ways to mimic Cybertronian transformation abilities, but where the Cybertronian Transformers typically chose a vehicle-based alternative form, the Quentissons chose forms based on fantastic and savage beasts - indeed, not merely imitating them, but in many ways becoming them.

Eventually, the Quentissons were all but forgotten by the Cybertronians, and when certain differences divided the citizens of Cybertron into the Autobot and Decepticon factions, their ancient enemies saw an opportunity to strike.

On the distant planet of Earth, the Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, narrowly defeated an all-out attack from the Decepticons. While both sides recovered from the battles, Quentisson warriors launched an surprise assault on both the Autobot and Decepticon bases. The Decepticons suffered many casualties, but the Autobots temporarily held off their new attackers.

Faced with new enemies who fought with a savagery unlike anything they had ever faced, and who spat an acid that could corrode the strongest Cybertronian armour, Optimus Prime and his scientific advisors came up with a plan to deal with the new threat.

Five Autobot volunteers were selected to undergo a dangerous experimental process, one with potentially detrimental effects on Cybertronian minds. There was a further risk - permanent loss of the reformatting ability. This was considered an acceptable sacrifice, since the desired end result of the experiment had less to do with stealth, and more to do with enhanced combat capability.

The experiment was a success - to an extent. The five Transformers were reborn with the strongest armour in Cybertronian history, able to withstand the most savage Quentisson assault.

Unfortunately there apeared to be negative effects on some of the volunteers' intelligence levels, which lead them to relying more on instinct than intellect. However, this may have helped them to adapt to their new alt-forms, which vaguely resembled - and were, in fact, based on - prehistoric creatures from Earth's past.

No. No Quints.

There's got to be a better way to do the Dinobots in the movie, if at all.

I never liked the idea of Quints anyways. They were so dumb IMO. Big floating five faced head w/ tentacles and an energy beam holding it up.

I'm thinking of Movie versions of the Quentissons. The Movie Cybertronians have a different look from their cartoon/comic counterparts, so maybe there could be a way to make the Quentissons look a lot cooler.

I'd also consider 'Big floating five faced head' as a background character (The Decepticons could pay him back with a surprise visit at the end of the Movie.) The Quentisson main characters should be beast/warrior types (I'd consider Sharkticons as the less powerful ones) a bit like the Transmetal Transformers from Beast Wars - but more spiky, with more teeth and more vicious - a lot more vicious.

I'm sorry. In my mind, there's just no way to make any Quint cool. Hell, Alpha Q wasn't even a true Quint. He had four heads (unless you count the armor thing as a fifth head). The best thing he had going for him was his armored body that at least could move on it's own and didn't require an energy beam or something to hold it up.

No. Just don't put them in the movie-verse and I'll be happy. Once we get into Quint territory, we're just asking for it to be totally unrealistic. Beast based (dinosaur no less) alt modes is already pushing the realism boundries (although Ravage's and Scorpnok's beast modes are their robot modes while they turn into something else).

The Quints do NOT belong in this movie series.

AT.

ALL.

I agree, with the release of the Impossible Toys, all things Quint related to me were put to bed.

Looking at the evolved history of Transformers, they're nothing more that highjackers to me, as they showed up and took over.

The whole agents of Unicron thing realy just make me wish for better writing!

A Quintesson in refrence or mentioned as a member of the myriad things in the universe are one thing, otherwise leave them be.

Maybe if they were developed better I'd feel different, but they weren't. Pair that with the fact that their second go around was even worse, and well...

some memories are best left as that.

OK, nobody wants the Quentissons. What about the Blendtrons?

We don't need any extra aliens or any third faction Transformers in the movies.
