Transformers Live Action movie design thought process!

Recommended Posts

If you were offended about this thread and whatever "reasons" you believe it was created, why didn't you or why don't you just stay out of it and let the rest of us who thought it was funny have a laugh or two about it instead trolling around trying to bait people into debating something so pointless?(I know, i took the bait).

Well, like I pointed out earlier, we have a sub-forum for silly picture posting for a few laughs with no actual discussion, if that's the goal. Or there are plenty of existing threads where the pic would've been a nice humorous, but on-topic, diversion to add to an already ongoing movie design discussion. Posted in either of those ways, I would've ignored it entirely.

But you started a thread titled "Transformers Live Action movie design thought process" in the Transformers General Discussion forum. What was I supposed to expect when I clicked on it? And what did I get?

But you continue to call me a troll.

It makes no sense, I tells ya.

In this instance isn't that the set up for the joke? Plus there was some discussion going on, It was just one sided. Primus knows I've endured some "Bay: God or GOD? Discuss." threads.

In this instance isn't that the set up for the joke?

And isn't that what INH is for?

INH is for very random nonsense, not a simple joke thread about Transformers. This was a very good natured humor thread until you interrupted it. No hate, no arguing about the movie versus other Transformers, just plain fun.

Wait, the picture on the first page isn't classified as random nonsense?

I'm confused....

it's sad when people can't accept criticism on a public forum about toys

and even sadder when people believe that all threads should be circle-jerks rather than discussions

(just saying)

And regarding the color red not doing so well via CGI, yes, I heard that argument. But I am not convinced of that argument.

well i'm sorry to be the one breaking it to you but you're wrong

It's sad when people can't even post something on this messageboard without others trying to derail the thread, simply because they disagree. If you other guys, who are getting all defensive over a movie, love the movie so much, why aren't you making threads about that instead of crashing these threads?

BTW, the pic of the chick with the ball in her mouth? Priceless.

I didn't click on the thread the first time looking to start something. I read the title and came to talk about the movie.

Imagine my surprise.

So I posted an honest response to it.

But, hey, I'm sure if I started a thread called "Transformers Comic Mythology" in which I treated Simon Furman's work in a similar fashion, I'd be met with zero disagreement, right? Or would I be called a troll for starting a thread that baited fans of Furman's with my silly photoshops?

Just because I disagree with you guys doesn't make me the one in the wrong here. We actually do have a sub-forum where you can post silly pictures when you don't feel like having an actual discussion. This isn't the place for that.

But, if you're not prepared to be met with another opinion, maybe you shouldn't be posting on a public board at all. :shrug

Smartass comments were anticipated. Apples and Oranges I'm sure. Still, INH is the most worthless forum that this messageboard has ever had. It's completely pointless to point people there, simply because they have an opinion that differs from your own.

FWIW, I don't think criticism is the problem here. The internet is one of the hardest places to figure out what tone someone is trying to present when giving their feelings. Some people just seem to come off as very defensive. Like I said before, it's as if this is their creation or something. There should be no reason someone can't say that they dislike something Transformers Movie related or anything else for that matter, especially if that's why the thread was created in the first place.

It should be no different if someone ever starts a thread about something they like about the movie and they get attacked by members who dislike it. There don't seem to be a lot of threads about that ATM.

I'm wrong because Michael Bay says I'm wrong?

Or because you actually have evidence proving it?

You're mostly wrong because he said red is hard to film IRL, not that red was difficult to CGI.
