That's the thing, really. It's the overall design of Megs' robot mode that leaves him less favoured than Prime I feel. I dare say, given I'm not over the moon about the design, that I might be swayed depending on how well he goes in the film. My wife loves the design however, so I feel he will be coming home with us. Honestly his tank mode is cool. So is his head. The arm thing does bug many, but there are good points about this figure elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if I started seeing kitbashers 'fixing' his arm. I do want a Megs fig, but I'm stuck... This version I'm liking the alt-mode but not neccissarily bot-mode. His previous toy my opinion was the other way around.

 

I'd like to either see a 'premium' (or equivalent) version of both Prime and Megs, or to see someone with paint skills truly bring out their details.

also of note, there's no pictures of the back of op's box...trying to hide something perhaps?

Doesnt get the hate for Megatron though.. his small hand has finger poseability, PERFECT for gripping Screamers head.

Wow Megs does look kind of creepy especially the teeth, I like it. With a little repaint it could come along quite well. Still don't like the gimpy arm of his, wonder if there is a way to "fix" it. Leader prime looks nice going to start saving up for both.

It was said that he rebuilt himself with the parts of dead comrades, I think it would be cool in the movie if Scorponok or some other smaller Decepticon were to combine with his and give Megatron a proper arm.....then they could do it with the toys. Prime combines with Jetfire, Megatron with Scorponok! (Just kidding......or am I).

I still think Megatron is going to look great on screen. My only complaint is I wish he had two normal looking hands, and not a gimpy arm and handless cannon arm. (I usually hate one handed Robots not named Shockwave, Inferno or Hoist).

i disagree i :luv this megatron, TF fans have to realize that the movie toys arn't gonna be perfect and neither is the movie :thumb

the movie toys have been ridiculously far from perfect. first, hasbro screws up devastator, megatron is another disappointment like the first movie, and who thought it was a good idea to give the twins those wtf faces?

 

I don't...yeah, the paint job is nice, but that's about it. More junk than not...where's that crab pic again!

fidlertron looks sooooo much better than megatron...it could even become a repaint into a new rampage :tflaugh

thats you're opinion and you just can't expect it to look the way you or any other TF fan wants it to look like, bay's nots tring to make them like they were in G1, the movie TF are completely different then they were in G1 (except for primes head) so many TF fans want bay to do the movie after G1 and if any body else besides me already knows that he's not tring to do it after G1

I like the head sculpt on this one better than the first movie megatron I don't care if u guys disagree but its less bulky and it makes him look more sinister than he already is.

I'm not one of those TF fans that's hung up on Bay not making a G1 movie. I don't think anybody that's responded to you is hung up on Bay not making a G1 movie. That has absolutely nothing to do with my dislike for this Megs design.
