Girlfriend/Wife Vs. Transformers

Recommended Posts

I got a cool gf who doesn't get on my case with my transformers. Infact, she constantly jokes and makes fun of me and my crazy hobbit/lifestyle.

But on that same note, one day I was looking at TF auctions on ebay and found this CRAZY lady who was such a nut job. She ended up posting all of her husband's TF all mint in boxes. He practically had every single G1 figure out there. But not only posting his TF for auction on ebay, she wrote this 3 page letter on the auction telling her life story. Apparently, her first two husband commited sucide and then she met this new husband and somehow convinced him that "they was short on cash" and got him to sell all his TF. There were move details in the 3 pages of her life story that were signs of someone losing it. :wtf

Heh thats interesting.. sounds a bit like my roomate.. always tellin me his life story or somethin.. it really gets on my nerves.. I mean, I can understand hard times and a need to talk about them.. but the guy really has no reason to be down only because he wants to be.. nothin like a pity wh**e that really burns me up..

My wife is pretty cool about it. The only times she has any reservations, is if I want to buy one of the expensive ones (trying to sell her on Omega Supreme right now lol), she usually gives in (Ive got an Armada Unicron and 20th Ann. Prime to prove it). My collection is set up in our spare bedroom in our basement, so it stays pretty safe there. Every once in a while my daughter will come in and want to look at one or two of them (she's three years old), or she will ask me what their names are, or ask me to transform them for her. From time to time she and I will play with the minicons together (shes getting pretty good at transforming those).

you taunt me with all your gfs and wifes :tftongue

Well my story is from a long time back... I was well in to collecting back in the mid 80 and had a pretty good size collection with about 40 Transformers which I worked hard for as a kid to get... I was having the usual bullcrap problems with the parents that most kids have, and said that I should not play with toys!!! For me I just knew they were much more than meets the eye, no pun intented... Well as time went on I had place all my Transformers in a large paper bag and left them in my closet for a few years... Then college time was around the corner and off I went... When the holidays came around I went home to discover that my parents had a garage sale and sold all my furniture, plus my bag of Transformers :tfsad they sold for penny's is what my sister had told me... at first sad and then the anger!!!

When I was 12 my room was full of Transformers, Mask toys and other stuff and the son of my neighbours (who was 5 then) always wanted to play with them.(couldn't stand him ^^). I let very few people touch my collections, so whenever he would come to my house and say "can we go and play in your room ?" I would shout "NO !!!" without giving any other reason ^^

My last girlfriend was cool with my collection (She had her own collection of stuffed animals and care bears), but she thought I should give up cartoons.

I told her: "Baby, I love you, but if you try to take my 'toons away I'll be forced to destroy you. And please don't make me destroy you!"

She laughed and said "Ok, your like a child anyways."

We stayed together for 5 months after that...then the relationship ended, had nothing to do with my toys or cartoons though.

Most have put up with it. I have hobbies that are far worse than toy robots.

One lived a good distance from me, and used to check her local stores for me.

. Apparently, her first two husband commited sucide

Since jokes about Suicide are somewhat tasteless, I'll avoid suggesting that she drove them to it.

D'oh I just did.

My wife just makes comments like "you and your robots" or (SIGH) "robots"

but we both work at the same retail store..and when someone returns any robot items she always calls me and asks if i have it yet. :thumb

GF's are unpredictable. I had a chick over at my place recently....and IMMEDIATLY she wanted to see Masterpiece OP, I of course told her HELL NO! and let her play w/ some G1 Reissues.

When Track's arm made a snapping sound I said: "Hand me the toy, your not old enough to play with it".

So glad my fiance dosn't have an overwhelming desire to tinker/destroy.

I think it would be heartbreaking to have someone who means so much to you DESTROY something that means so much to you.....because you can't extract proper revenge.
