yeah, realistically speaking I doubt they would do backwards compatible :(

the new ones would be totally different, hopefully compatible with each other

and with the power meter...

well if the NUMBER one holy grail for collectors is Fort Max, who is indeed a headmaster,

they just have to do something for that line... so far they pretty much ignored it...

Oh my god a Universe Headmaster would be :win !!! And yes, the head would need to be backwards compatible I agree. My vote would be for Cerebros with Spike and Arcee with Daniel for sure. And the Universe Cerebros should be able to fit in the old Fort Max... :argh Hasbro release this idea!!!!

I hope the HM connection isn't the ball/socket. 'Cause that'll get loose really fast.

Well I suppose they could do a minicon port for the connector instead but a ball joint would give more movement.

Why can't they do a minicon port on top of a ball joint?

Or, magnets!?!

Magnets would be cool, but they'd have to be strong enough that the head couldn't easily be knocked off. I can just see losing a ton of Head masters with a magnet joint.

The heads are only gonna get lost anyway.

Not necessarily, I still haven't lost Nightstick or Ravage and I'm not going to lose them for a long time, if ever.

the only thing i ever loose are spring loaded missles that shoot while packed away and end up in the bottom of the tub mixed in with all the others.... i guess they are all there but i never try to fit them in where they go

Yeah but we're collectors, we care about our crap.

Now think if they reversed polarities on Autobots and Decepticons so the heads would repell against the wrong faction body.

That wouldn't be too hard and would be a good idea.

Yeah, make a cradle on the body like on fort max so the head wont slide off, and it could be a real fun cheap feature.

Got the idea off the new Starscream, and some crappy toy I got for Christmas.
