Since when was it an "either/or" proposition? Megs and The Fallen could, conceivably, both be in the film.

I agree. I still hope the Fallen isn't in it but I have a feeling we are all going to be surprised once the film comes out. Who knows, maybe "the fallen" who is seeking revenge is actually Megatron while there is some bigger "non Fallen" Fallen-type bot in it which completely comes out of left field and surprises us all. I think anything is possible.

So it seems people are going in circles about this teaser talk now. There's really not much left to figure out about the mere 30 seconds we've seen now. There are two constructicons shown- one at the beginning and another much bigger one at the end. Barricade is the bot that jumps through a building and becomes an Audi. He is being chased by 2 or 3 smaller bots- probably Arcee. Ravage looks awesome. Megatron is almost certainly in the movie, as I still say that hand over Spike is his. That's all there is to it so far. The question in my mind is: Was that teaser poster face with the glowing red eyes just a teaser pic design based on the decepticon symbol? Maybe symbolic of the Decepticon's revenge coming? If Megatron is in the movie, he may be the fallen. Bay lies to throw us off ya'know.

It's obvious that you can see the Decepticon Logo in the poster.

- Protoforms smash into an Aircraft Carrier. (This would explain why ravage was coming out of the water, he was one of the protoforms)

-The giant bot smashing all the helicopters is the same one that destroys the bridge at the end of the trailer (Same head and Red/White color scheme)

- The bot that blew out of the building was the Audit R8 Decepticon (Look at the front of the car)

- There are three other bots following the Audit after he transforms

- Starscream confronts Sam

- That is Megatron who pinned down Sam (Starscreams hands don't resemble that)

- Optimus Prime gets socked in the face by an unknown bot

 

This would answer some questions.

I hope I'm guessing right, but that looks like a huge wide gaping fanged mouth. I hope so anyway. Something like that could pull off a LOT of psychotic twisted grins. I would never put it past any Starscream character to have lost all sanity in pursuit of more power after all. If that's a new mouth, I might end my angst.

 

If that's just a bunch of blurrs and after-images of other parts of him and he doesnt have his mouth open, then he still fails as a Starscream.

? Why do you keep kalling him Spike? It's Sam. And to answer the question about the face, no, it's not just a teaser image, it's actually going to be part of the Defiance comics.

In the comics, it's shown on the cover on an ancient artifact with Megs kneeling in front of it. In the first issue it's discovered that the artifact was found by Prime and the Cybertronian Science Team on Cybertron. After seeing it Megs requested it be put in his quarters, in the end of the first issue a mortally wounded Megs collapses in front of the artifact as a tribal-esque Decepticon symbol appears on it.

 

I call him Spike because I like to. That was his name in the G1 show. I also sometimes call Megan Fox Hottie, and Sam's dad Sparkplug. Not their names in the movie.

I remember seeing that comic cover, so I'm guessing the fallen is a new character in the movie, yet I still say Megatron is probably in the new movie.

That's not meant the be the same character though. Just the same last name. This movie is not G1. That's why some of us dont get why he's called "Spike" sometimes.

I don't think those are fangs, I think they are just blurs. I did a quick still frame by frame on Quicktime.

No the bot at the beginning is not the same constructicon that smashed the bridge. The one at the beginning has two huge wheels on his shoulders, is smaller, and has different hands. That's as much as I could make out though.

Try download the hi-res video, play it slo-mo, or repeating it few times. You'll notice that both are the same guy.
