At first I wanted to extend the arms and legs of Energon Rodimus, but then something else started happening... I still want to make Hot Rod or Rodimus (whoever turns out first) to go with the G1 Optimal Optimus Prime I did a couple days ago.

 

 

 

 

 

Still thinking about the chest. Leave it open like the first two pics or have it closed and connected like the last two.

It can barely stand with the wheels alone, so I had to give it some heels.

Kind of like GF Prime. Not sure if I should have it attached to the figure permanently or just leave it out all together.

 

As for the Alt mode, so far I can bend it to make it look like a trailer.

He looks like he's coming along pretty good so far.

There's a lot of pieces that needs to be added to make up his alt mode and with so many attachtments, I came to this conclusion for his bot mode.... It's going to be Hot Rod.... BUT!!... he is going to have 2 other modes.

 

In order it will go from Hot Rod -> Rodimus (MODE) -> Rodimus Prime (MODE)

 

So for his Rodimus mode, I'm giving him a chest piece attachment and reversing his arms so the the wheel will be facing forward

 

As for the Rodimus Prime mode, I'll be reversing the arms, add the backpack and I might be giving him a different, if not the same, chest piece.

 

Anyways, here's the Alt mode...

 

Nice job, I really like the idea of a Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime figure.

1. Are you planning on making the arms longer? They seem a bit too short.

Hmmm how to describe it.... think of Rodimus's G1 Alt mode. The Starscream missile launchers will act like smoke stacks.... I still need to mess with the back and figure something out, probably make it look more flat, idk. I still have a long way to go.

The alt mode is gonna piss me off... I might just get rid of the missile launchers to keep it from being top heavy and just give him a BFG.

The bot modes look great but that truck mode really needs some work. Why does he have 4 wheels in the front? They should be in the rear and the single wheels should be in the front. All in all though this looks like it's going to be awesome when you get done.
