I'm calling "whatever" on this one. I'm getting tired of Alternators. (Specifically, I'm getting tired of seeing pictures of them but never seeing the real items.) If Hound ever shows up in my area, I might buy him, but after that I think I'm done.

This far into their development I think they can change the head mold to look like what ever. Atleast with a name like Ravage or Battle Ravage they better. I'm pretty sure they are developing with Decepticons in mind now. As far as the story goes, If Starscreams lackies can mind controll some engineers to make Sunstreakers body black and silver, they can once again do what ever.

Shockingly, all three latest figures popped up this Weekend at a Walmart near Baltimore. Once I see them here I usually figure they're everywhere. We seem to get everything Transformer wise last. I always wonder how does VA and NY get new stuff and some how skip MD.

I've heard of a lot of new stuff showing up in Anne Arundel County (thanks to megagalvatron) but nothing around where I live (northwest DC suburbs).

This is just too much. Until I see him in packaging, I refuse to beleive this. But hey, that is just me. :redface

I think it's cool. I remember seeing this costum repaint of Tracks into Charger, an all black transformer. I thought it looked really good -- had even planned to get another Tracks just for that purpose. And now they're going to release an all black version.

 

Also really like that it's (Battle) Ravage. He wasn't one of my favorite characters, but it's nice to see one of those. I also think the car mold fits him.

 

As for Ravage not being dependent on Soundwave...well, he wasn't in Beastwars and that was probably the best portrayel of Ravage ever! Besides, Alternators isn't G-1.

Do you think it's possible the guy saw the toy for this character?

This was a guy from the japanese exclusive Web Diver series. It came out shortly after Car Robots and was probably an attempt to recapture the glory of their old "Brave" series. I don't think it caught on very well.
