Agreed. I just think the Universe version is better. The colours "pop" more to me. Plus the painted face and :cons on the wings are :win

Now as for uniformity, it's not like Classics Ramjet and Skywarp have the same pattern as Classics 'Screamer. All three have different paint jobs. So replacing Classics 'Screamer with Universe 'Screamer won't upset the uniformity 'cause there was none to begin with.

 

And as ST53 said, Classics Skywarp has a very minimalist deco himself.

I have a bunch of Classics Screamers, I was gonna do some kitbash repainting, but Takara is saving me the effort.

 

I'll be selling off all but 2 of them, one opened, 1 sealed.

 

As for Universe Screamer, I may just skip it, and if I don't, I probably wont open it.

He does pop. He's very bold, stark, simple. I think it's the tomato red torso that causes it. I wish he had more painted details, but I must say this is the first time I've seen a Hasbro promo shot come out with the same number of paint apps as the final product.

I really like the Cl version of Starscream but the Universe version that is coming out is much more G1 accurate. So here's what I'm wondering from everyone else: Once you get the Universe 25th anni Starscream what will you do with/ call your Cl Starscream?

 

I myself have been kicking around the idea of giving him a new name but I have a few possibilities. Starstorm, Jetscream, Jetstorm, Stormjet, Skyscream, Megastorm, Firestorm and Thunderwarp. I also cosidered Skycracker but that one just doesn't sound right. I'm leaning towards Firestorm, Stormjet, Megastorm or Jetstorm.

 

No matter which one I choose his story will be that he's Starscream's younger brother who no matter how hard he tried just couldn't get his brother's respect. Even copying his brother's color scheme didn't get his attention. So now he has decided to try and out shine his brother and become Megatron's new right hand bot. So to this end he joined and worked his way through the ranks of the Rainmakers squadron of the Cybertronian Seekers. However now he and his crew have been summoned to earth by Megatron for their special talents, and now he must face his brother. Will his brother accept him or will it come down to a battle of the Seeker squadrons to prove which squad is the best.

 

I'm even going to be repainting him his crew Thunderstorm (blue, black), Sunstorm (yellow, and orange), and we already have Acidstorm (green). Come to think of it Firestorm might be a good fit.

 

So what are you guys planning for these 2?

 

How about Clonescream? Thats about the best re-name and for a good purpose and character discription all in one. ;)

 

I will keep my C.SS when i recieve the gen1 version. I like to keep all my bots and even know i DO keep them together as a team, i dont make up new names for existing characters. I dont even make a LORE for them. Thats just me, imo it seems a bit kid-ish. But lol to all that like what they do! Im not judging anyone but myself. :)

Since my Classics SS's wing broke off, the new one will replace him. After I find him. Wasn't he in the same wave as Cheetor? Cuz I saw those guys at Target but not Starscream.

 

You do know it pops back on right? Unless you broke the peg then you need to use a small screw.

 

That's what happened. Peg snapped right off. I don't have screws that small sadly. So he's broken for good. I need this one to replace him, but I can't find him anywhere in stores :(

Pop the other one out then go to Radioshack and get a screw that's the same size as the pin.

I saw Universe StarScream this weekend and was initialy going to skip this.

 

In hand though it is realy nice.

 

I did put it back and got Cheetor, Hound, and Cyclonus instead. But I will be picking this up and most likely selling my opened Classics StarScream.
