I don't see any reason to choose the Classics version over the Universe one.... JMO

Because the Classics one matches my Skywarp and Ramjet with their neo-G1 deco, and the Classics one only matches expensive exclusives with their uber-G1 decos that I have no desire to track down?

I was just talking about the merits of the individual figure. Matching uniforms are a secondary concern to me.

That's cool. But since I already have the three, I don't need another one that throws off the dynamic.

 

Now, if Hasbro had offered us both SSs at once before the other Seekers and said, "pick your favorite" I'd probably weigh in on the side of Universe Screamer. But, the situation being what it is, :shrug He's not so cool that I need to buy him again.

j/k. like I said, my old one will become tcracker for cheap and I already have skywarp. vger cyb starscream will stand in for thrust and I have uni dirge. I just have to find a way to give those 2 coneheads.

The new one is in fact a bit bland...

some might call it "tasteful" :run

I think it also fits in better with Classics Skywarp, since Skywarp's alt-mode seems so minimalist compared to Classics Starscream.

My CL StarScream will be renamed:

 

'Now belongs to my kids and will enjoy more play at the cost of greatly reduced life expectancy and immediate loss of missles.'
