The first Transformer in my house was Huffer, my brother got him, and hated him(so I took it, still have it).

 

I recall in the super market in a random isle was a cardboard pegboard filled with all the minicars, I didn't beg, but did express alot of intrest to my parents.

 

Toys where never a priority with them, but for Christmas the year the show came out, I got Bumblebee, and my brother got Cliffjumper. He asked me what these things were, so I showed him the cartoon and got excited when BB came on the screen. My brother coped an attitude because they didn't show "the red one" and abondoned his Cliffjumper.

 

That act right there I can actualy trace to the moment he decided he doesn't like toys.

 

2 years later, I took his Ultra Magnus too.

 

But yeah, BumbleBee was my first, and one of the reasons why he is my favorite.

 

I had just seen the episode where Megatron lost his cannon and Brawn scooped it up and fired it at him, and got knocked on his tail pipe! Seen it a store a day or two later and my addiction was born kicking, screaming and wallet emptying.

Oh heck yeah. G2 is what got me addicted man. Shoot being 7 or 8 seeing a frickin wall of Primes and just getting mesmerized by him. Phew that one look and wham it was a done deal. I loved those cyberjets too. Only had Space case but he was awesome.

The best was when I combined their limbs together to make supa modes xD

I first got Soundwave/Buzzsaw in... lessee... it would have been fall of 1985, so I would have been just about 13.

 

re: what Tripredacus said, I probably didn't buy any of my own TFs until I started working at age 16. But by then it would have been 1988, so that can't be right. Hmm.
