Transformers Universe webisode #1!

Recommended Posts

No, dude, I turn 30 next month and have been consistently purchasing Transformers every year they were on the shelves since 1984.

Who here hasn't been purchasing TransFormers every year since 1984??? You make it sound like y'r the only one oooohhh!!!!

Unfortunately i'm alot older than that, getting old suck cause you don't want things to change and it's hard to adjust to change.

The point is, though, that I'm easily old enough to remember G1 (I was its target audience, in fact), but I've been with the franchise continuously since then, and change has just been part of the franchise for me because of that. Like water off a duck's back.

You must've discovered "girls" or something, left, and then come back to discover your favorite childhood franchise all askew.

And just because he hasn't seen a "girl" naked yet... that's no way to treat a fellow board member. Someday it will happen Hobbes someday.

After 30, things go downhill really fast... You wouldn't believe this killer hemmroid i have. G1 is all i have left to hold on too.

:guh

And dude... TMFI!!!

We really need a better topic SOON!!!

:tflaugh Who added the bolded part to the quote train? It'd funny, if not for the countless times I've seen your mother naked.

Someday CHL and ST53 will let me have a turn instead of just running the camera.

Um... just put the old show up with new logos.

Really.

I know it's from 84 and it's campy but...

DAMN.

That was kinda cool, but being that I am a huge G-1 fan I hope It get's better.

LOL, your close, it starts with POR and ends with NO and it's free on the interwebs.

Ahem...

Everything G1 sucks

So does Jmandawg.

That is all.

That's a Little harsh dude... we are just having a friendly coversation about this crappy flash movie.

Anyhow, The reason why I even brought up G1 to begin with, was this universe cartoon is a throw back to G1, same story, same characters, but somehow it totally sucked, so why can't they use that awesome CGI stuff posted earlier in this thread instead of this flash shot.

I guess it's because they are doing it for little kids, who don't care what it looks like. But way back when i was a kid i could damn well tell the difference between good animation and crappy animation, maybe the kids today are different.

Time for Metamucil and bed.

I'm sorry, but anyone who says "I was just as aware when I was a kid as I am now" is talking out their ass.

My roommate constantly says "I used to get mad as a kid when the Dragonzord toy didn't have screen-accurate stickers."

No, you didn't. You didn't know. You and I and everyone was stupid when you were four, so don't act like you cared whether or not an action figure had five points of articulation or fifteen.

Your right, when i was 4 years old i probably didn't know the difference, but i was watching ultraman back then.

I was at least 10 years old when i was watching the original transformers, and trust me, i knew the art work/animation on Robotech was way better than on transformers.

Seriously... when Transformers came out I think I was like 11 or twelve. Thundercats had better animation than the Transformers did back then. Even GI Joe had better animation than the Transformers. But the original Robotech series animation just sucked major @$$ compared to even the worst episode of Transformers.

I saw both of those a long time ago. Yes, the original series had horrible animation (especially when you compare it to it's movie *Not 2007 obviously, but '86*). But remember that episodes were made on a tight schedule (Most noticeable in season 3). And it's not just G1, but almost all of the shows from the eighties (GI Joe, Simpsons, TMNT, etc) had that same problem (Damn network executives). With time constraints. The production team had made lots of mistakes (and somewhat limited animation in many shows, including those mentioned) But there wasn't any time to fix them sadly.

If only things were different. Then everyone would not be whining about the lousy animation seen on G1 and almost all eighties shows (But you must admit, it is great nostalgia though. Bringing back childhood memories).

But when I look at this...this monstrosity of a web short. I just can't even describe how horrible it is! Form the sh*tty animation (Even worse then what they show on Newgrounds and even from the 60's and 70's *Hell, even fan animations are better then this*) to the poor rendition of Optimus' voice (Who did his voice?). This short is bad beyond belief.

Hasbro sucks ass when they animate stuff. Leave that to the professionals.
