Alcohol is what I use and it works well.

 

Sometimes you might have to rub for a bit but it has not damaged any of my items.

Yellowing on plastic cannot be reversed I'm sorry to say. It is a reaction to sunlight that is basically coloured the actual plastic. This can often leave these parts brittle too, so be carefull on those parts

 

 

that's actually sorta incorrect.

I've used "bleach-white" which removes yellowing. It's intended for tire white walls, but works great on yellowed plastic.

 

 

Rubbing alcohol works great to remove factory paint, stickers and the sticker adhesives. try 70% then 90%
