I've never seen the show, but I'm curious about it. Is the only way to view it really to buy the bootleg DVDs from eBay right now?

After years and years of intentional neglect I finally sat down and entered the world of Beast Wars/Machines via dvd. First off it really feels good/refreshing to finally see a Transformers cartoon not imported in from Japan, and filled with noncomprehensible plotlines/bad dubbing/translation. :thumb For a first time through I found it mostly enjoyable and well scripted and overall a lot of fun to watch. Personally I loved the darker/edged tone though I can see how Beastwars would in terms of content be more balanced but either way it kicked the hell out of the Armadaverse. I found even with the leaden tone and constant action it did have it's comedic moments scattered…

I don't know if this has ever been discussed before, but I recently picked up the old "SatAM" Sonic the Hedgehog series on DVD. That would be the good (or better) of the two early-90's Sonic cartoons. Now, I remembered it being a good show for its time, but the similarities to Beast Machines (or rather, BM's similarities to Sonic) blew me away. The two series share so many elements they're almost interchangeable. The basic concept was that Dr. Robotnik had taken over the world, transforming it into an industrialized wasteland, and captured all the people/animals/furries, changing them into mindless robot slaves who patrolled the city. Sonic and the other survivo…

Got the Beast Machines box set in this weekend (I know it is late, should have gotten it months ago) and I have watched nearly all the episodes and only got 5 more to go. And it has been a long time I enjoyed a Transformers show that much. I will have to admit, at first I did not like it when I saw it years back (from a cd-rom which did not do it justice) because of the really weird robot modes the Maximals got. They still take getting used to. That aside nearly everything is perfect about it. The way the show starts is AWESOME! Viewers are completely in the dark as to what happened and so are the Maximals themselves. Little by little they learn what hap…

Okay, I know I'm going to get flamed for this topic, but I've been rewatching this series and found it to be much better than I remember! I thought it had boring, repetitive episodes and crappy toys when it first came out, but in retrospect: The Good - MUCH improved graphics, especially in Season 2 - extremely detailed character models - bold, artistic style - characters with depth rather than simple archetypes - complex storylines with long-standing consequences (this was well-learned from Beast Wars) The Bad - "painted-on" details on the characters - Botanica: which mode is which again?? - Obsidian/Strika: no-name characters are legends of Cybertron? - …

Yeah, hi I'm new to the forums. I have loved Transformers since I was young, I have the original series, the movie, and beast wars series on DVD. And, I was wondering...is Beast Machines going to come out on DVD by any chance, does anyone know? Thank you.
