beast machines was such weak writing and the characters were so beat compared to beast wars - just mho - I loved beast wars but I did not like beast machines - I was not against the whole organic thing at all but optimus was such a weak hippy wuss.....primal from beast machines is most likely my  most hated commander of all time.

*Sigh.*

Watch it again. pay close attention to what is going on. After each episode(or two/threeparter), pause and think abotu what was going on. You will find that BM is a very subtle(Overly, IMO), very intelligent series.

Edit: there is an explenation given for everything except for why Megatron hated organics, and i'm sure that's in there somewhere. I alreayd know what it's supposed ot be, but I can't find anything in the series that hints in any direction about why he does so. Again, the overly subtle nature of the series bit it in the ass.

BTW, Primal was not a weak hippy wuss. I tihnk the last episode where proves that.

I've not seen Beast Machines, I plan to one of these days, but I understood the story when I read through it.  You're right about it being an intelligent series.  Megatron's hatred of organic transformations was understandable since he blamed his organic beast modes for his losing the Beast Wars before he changed things and Primal's changes in personality are quite understandable when you take into consideration how people can change after having a vrey religious exprience like Primal did.

One of these days I'll get to see it.
