Lio Prime has been an iconic character since the Beast Wars series ended in the states and continued over seas. I was excited to see a release of the figure in the Beast Hunters line, but disappointed when it was revealed to be a simple repaint without a new head mold involved. The figure on auction today is a repainted Beast Hunters Thundertron figure using the head of a TF Prime Optimus Prime. It has been meticulously painted and detailed to become a centerpiece of any collection. He includes the following features: Articulated thumbs and fingers (including forefinger and knuckle joints!) Ball Jointed head for superior poseability Several weapons includ…

just an update. I'm up to my v2 design for the Action Formers, scrapping the idea to have an internal skeleton with snap on armor. At this scale it just ended up being too fragile for the joints. I still have some work to do to improve the elbow and knee joints but so far I'm liking how they are turning out and decided to go ahead and paint up what I've got. I have an original designed character as well as Swerve printed out and waiting for paint, will be getting to them sooner or later. Here's some pics, more on the facebook page: Tailgate doesn't like getting splashed. Pipes doesn't mind so much To give you an idea of the size of these guys, …

Hey guys! My latest project is nearly finished: PC brutisor! My PC brutisor can split down to TFC's bruticus and Maketoys's Mobine Marine Menasor. From there, they can split down into 10 vehicles:2 PC Commanders, 4 PC Limb Troops, 3 Mini-con Troops, & 1 Missile Launcher vehicle. My final 3rd mini-con hasn't arrived yet, but i'll be using the handle of the Armada Dark Star Saber- whatever that mini-con's name is....My plan is to take Junkion blacksmith's Jb-00 sword set and plug the parts into it, making a giant dark star saber for him. it might work, might not, but whenever he's not using the saber, i'll store the mini-con/saber handle on his torso. i'll post c…

This is my personal custom of the DOTM Laserbeak toy. I loved the sculpt but felt it could use some more paint. Many thanks to Encline Designs for putting up a wonderful how-to video for drybrushing. Up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a Decepticon...no, it's Autobot Arcee! As agile and deadly as Arcee is she gets the short end of the cog when it comes to dealing with flying enemies. Well no longer, now the sexy blue Fembot has a sleek new jet mode! This custom Transformers'Starcee' was created using a heavily modified Beast Hunters deluxe Starscream, PRID Arcee head and two forearm blades. Her once obtrusively placed cockpit detaches and stores in her chest while she's in robot mode. (All you basically have to do for your Beast Hunter Starascream is trim it off and carve a little extra room up under the front chest armor for it). She was basecoated with Tamiya Light Blu…

Just recently I created a custom Transformers Starcee figure, an Arcee based on Starscream's body so let's continue that theme shall we? Here's Starcee's opposite "Arcscream", a ground-based version of Starscream utilizing a motorcycle robot mode. This alt-mode-bender (gender-bender?) design of Starscream used the PRID Arcee body and FE Starscream's head and hands. His bike panel wing hinge-joints were turned into ball joints allowing them to be spun upside down to resemble Starscream's wings! Two Bumblebee blasters were outfitted as null-rays and attach to his forearms or the front of his cycle mode. Hey, if Megatron can be a tank/truck/gun why can't his second in comman…

This custom Transformers Prime Slipstream was a very request custom and people asked me to make her from the same Beast Hunters Starscream mold I made the updated Airachnid from. More of the spikes/fins were removed from the mold and sanded down to form a more normal seeker body. Slipstream's head is a new sculpt that features a mix of Arcee's and Starscream's featured including some new ears. She was painted with Testors and formula P3 Teal/Grey/Purples and sealed with a semigloss varnish to prevent wear. Her missiles came from an Avatar tread-bike of some sort and were modded with 5mm diameter hard plastic silly straws to fit her forearms.

It turns out the actual Transformers Prime Arachnid toy was pretty terrible and nothing I tried could save her from being a pile of jointed polygons. So I did what any customizer would do in this situation, kept her head and tossed the body. Airachid would soon be reborn as 'Black Airachnid'. To do this I used the Beast Hunters Starscream mold and trimmed down most of the body spikes, wing hooks, and hollowed out more of the inner chest. Airachnid's head was modded to fit and suddenly the figure started to look more and more like her. She's a jet in this format and I still needed to incorporate the spider aspect. Using Cliffjumper's hammer body and some Star Wars…

Wreck N Rule! Add-on kit to turn Generations Warpath into the Wrecker Impactor. The kit includes a shoulder cannon, hand gun, harpoon to replace his current hand and a head with three different faces. It has been tested using WSF. The shoulder cannon can be used in the location of the firing Warpath missile, the stock screw is used to hold the cannon in place. The chest will take the place of Warpaths cannon and includes the mounting piece needed to attach to Warpath. For the Harpoon, it comes with three different attachments, a long and short harpoon and also a drill attachment. They use a 3mm clip so they can be used on other figures as well. The harpoon attachments hav…
