Upgrades

Here it is! Your place to share upgrade kits, stickers, customs, repaints, 3D Printing projects and more than meets the Transformers Garage!

  1. Started by Markusius,

K, I've been wanting to get started modeling out parts for 3D printing quite awhile now and have just started. There are a few guys here that know alot and have already shared what they are experiencing (thanks Wu and Hellscream). There are a few free programs out there to use. Google Sketchup is very simple to use but the free version has locked up some of the 'Solid Modeling' features like 'join/cut' and file export features as well. First question: How do you add a face in Sketchup to close off an end of an object?

  2. Started by squall42080,

Well, I'm working on a Alternator Optimus Prime custom...and I really wanted to go with something different. I thought it ended up really cool, so I wanted to post it here. I have a RadioShack thats closing right around me, and I went in and checked out their line of X-Mods Radio-Controlled cars. They are a little smaller than Alternators. Probably like 1:27, or 1:32, but there are these accessory packs, where you can add better spoilers, body kits, lights, etc... I've seen people use the spoilers and stuff...but how about a set of roof rack lights for the Prime mold? Check out the pics on page 5: Alternators Armada Megatron

  5. Started by Grimlock-imus Prime,

Ok first and foremost I should probably say I have no real idea where to put this topic, it didn't seem to fit the Toy discussion so I figure I'd put in the Workbench topic since the Devastator I made sorta fits the description of a kit bash, eitherway here he is: Now I did get a request on how to make this beast so here's a bit of a step by step guide to make him, I apologize in advance for the crappy job I'm sure to do. :redface So before we start here's what you'll need to make the one in the picture: -ROTF: Voyager Demolishor -ROTF: Voyager Mixmaster -ROTF: Deluxe Ravage (yes I know he's not a constructicon) -ROTF: Combiner Class Devastator…

Based on Schlecki02's way of displaying him, I've cut and glued Octane so the Comb of Doom is now a better fitting Shoulder/Back Bladed Thingie... Of Doom. View the Custom Gallery Here

Transformers Garage is on the look out for the best custom / kitbash to feature each week here and in the Transformers Garage Hall of Fame section. This week's featured custom is the War Within Shockwave by TonyzCustomz. People have been kicking around kitbash ideas for the Marvel Crossovers toys and this one's too cool as bulked out WW Shocky making it this weeks Custom or of the Week. Read the Full News Story Here

  9. Started by Wheeljack-S70,

Welp, here you have it folks. the crankiest of the them all, GEARS. The head is sculpted with QuickPlastic. The chest will be a modified air freshener I've been eying for a few weeks. if you ever want to feel mashugga, catch yourself studying air fresheners for 30 minutes at your local walmart. anyway, here are the first images. I got the day off today so maybe I'll have more updates later tonight. cheers!

  10. Transformers Garage is on the look out for the best custom / kitbash to feature each week here and in the Transformers Garage Hall of Fame section. This week's featured custom is the Dinotitan - Animated Dinobots Combiner Team by Broken Fantom. Everyone loves the Dinobots. It was such a nice surprise to see a few in Transformers Animated, but left a lot of us wanting to see the team completed with Sludge and Snarl. Leave it to a fan to connect the bots in a spectacular way making Dinotitan - Animated Dinobots Combiner Team by Broken Fantom the Custom of the Week. Read the Full News Story Here
