Alternators Armada Megatron

Recommended Posts

Well, I'm working on a Alternator Optimus Prime custom...and I really wanted to go with something different.

I thought it ended up really cool, so I wanted to post it here.

I have a RadioShack thats closing right around me, and I went in and checked out their line of X-Mods Radio-Controlled cars.  They are a little smaller than Alternators.  Probably like 1:27, or 1:32, but there are these accessory packs, where you can add better spoilers, body kits, lights, etc...

I've seen people use the spoilers and stuff...but how about a set of roof rack lights for the Prime mold?

Check out the pics on page 5:

Here is the accessory pack...and all the pieces.  I picked it up for like $5 on clearance.  I think they were like $10 or $15 originally.

Here is the piece I am using (you have to unscrew the three screws holding it to another piece.)

I will not be leaving the "KC" on the lights, nor will I leave it chrome for the custom I am working on...

sweet. and yes they are 1:27th. i had a thread about them way back in the day when they first came out. is that trailbraker black or megs green? i can't tell.

This is how you attach the lights:

There are two screws that attach the rear windshield to the rear panel of the truck.  Simply drill through the two circled screw holes, and use a long screw to attach to the two hols on the light rack...

Its almost like they were made for Prime...maybe its even Hasbro intended...hahaha

Well my friend, since you bring it up...consider this the fandom's first sneak peak at my unfinished Armada Megatron custom.  So in answer to your question...thats "Minicon-Hunting Green," hahahaha...

Megatron needed the extra lighting so he could find those pesky Minicons in even he darkest of night...

There's a Radio Shack closing near you too? Wow...they must really be feeling the heat from big retailers.

Since I`m a G1 guy, my first thought was... "Cool Hoist"!! Then I remembered you are an Armada fan. Looks nice so far. :thumb

Hahaha...the alternate mode of course will resemble Hoist...

I didn't even think of that...

When you see the bot mode, all thoughts of Hoist will go away...

More pics will be posted soon...

I`ve got a sub-team of Decepticons ready for paint, if I can find time to do it.

You guys can really pump these things out left and right. I`ve got so many ideas I wish I had more time. :grr Envy.
