It's that time again for the latest addition to the TFCC FSS 4.0; and it's the near legendary, Spinister. Let me just say this is my favorite FSS figure thus far and the best use of the Alpha Bravo mold. The joints are just the right tightness especially in the hips, which is important for arm mode. Being a Double Targetmaster, Spinister is armed; Vortex should've had this load out. Prepare to pay if you're looking for this figure on the aftermarket; as I suspect it'll be one of, if not the most expensive from this collection.

This new version of One-Step Strongarm is much better than the original. The weight of the figure is more evenly distributed, and the arms have more mass to them. Transformation is smooth and both the vehicle, and robot mode, benefit from some much needed tabs. Unfortunately the simple swivel joint in the arms isn't strong enough to hold most of the available Minicon weapons. Highly recommended.

Diaclone was launched in Japan by Takara in 1980, the same year I was born. And that’s where my childhood association with Diaclone ends, as growing up in the UK it was primarily Transformers that had my attention. Trickles of Diaclone-based figures did reach the UK but in London I saw neither sight nor sound of them. In addition to Japan and Asia, countries like France, Italy, Holland, Germany and some Scandinavian territories had Diaclone toys on shelves. Like many current Diaclone fans outside of Asia, my access to it came via Transformers and the exploration of their origins (and ancestral variants) within Diaclone and other such pre-Transformers toy lines. With the 3…

Finally we have the first full set of Weaponizer Minicons. Instead of transforming into discs, torpedoes, or spheres, these Minicons turn into various weapons. Dragonus becomes a double barreled blaster, Bashbraker a war hammer, Lancelon becomes a long sword/lance, and finally Lord Doomitron becomes a clawed weapon. While Hasbro advertises that these Weaponizers are compatible with all RID figures, I found that due to molding issues, some figures have a harder time holding certain Minicons. While I have no doubt these molds will be repainted and re-released over time, this set is a great introduction to the concept.

Originally part of a Target gift set, this version of Optimus Prime is now part of the new "Weaponizer" wave of One-Step figures. When transforming the figure, make sure the legs bend out all the way, to ensure the figure looks in robot mode. As with all One-Step figures it makes for a good desk toy.

Yeah, we all knew they would be remolds. But Hasbro let us VOTE on which ones we wanted, so..... Is it worth paying to buy these figures again, just because Hasbro gave them all more slender arms and puffier lips? Let Death, the most impartial judge of all, help you decide with a video review of the entire Victorion boxed set!
