I'm loving both Universe and Animated, but I won't believe these until I see them on the show... Why? Because I mostly avoid spoilers, and whatnot, and therefore, don't really want to comment until I see them coloured etc with toys...

Which also means you can have the rank of Prime and not be a member of the Elite Guard

I think "Prime" just means you get to command other Autobots - I assume the head of the cleaning detail is Moptimus Prime, or something like that.

....isn't that :animated Optimus Prime's job anyway?

Optimus leads a crew of repair bots, which is why the top of his head kinda looks like a construction worker's hard hat.

Sweet. Hope they are legit

Well he's doing something at the maintenance end of things.

I would have said that some of these might be toy-only 'bots, particularly Blackout and Strika, but since there's a note saying that they won't have to animate their mouths...

Optimus Prime also didn't have Elite Guard sigil.. :fail

...because he flunked out of the academy.

I don't really like Rodimus. His face...I don't know, it looks like he needs to get some more sleep or something. :shrug

What you're seeing is the black lines they usually put around the characters' eyes, except this is the line art so the black isn't filled in. It's pretty much a dead-on Rodimus Prime with the crest pulled away from the helmet (and with the trademark Animated eyes-meet-helmet look).

(note: this is just my guess on the colors)

Wow, he needs a lot more sleep.

Well, again, that's what they all look like.
