I loved Astrotrain as a classics, but I wanted him to turn into an American locomotive.

 

But moreso the one figure I'd like to se classics style the most has gotta be Shockwave.

Shockwave is probably the one character I'd have to see how they did before I'm totally ready to toss money at. And yeah, I love Shockers, but still, I don't want rando-gun mode-whatever.

If they make Classics Kup, I HOPE FanProjects then makes a transforming wheelchair/walker accessory that can form into a truck bed cover or something. Cause that would be the most awesomest thing evah!

-Octane (a NEW, BETTER, IMPROVED & AWESOME one)

The Idea for a difference between the toys of a SWEEP trooper and SCOURGE the leader, is quite well understanding, 'cause in the G1 cartoon you couldn't really make a difference among all the Sweeps and Scourge; You never knew who was the REAL SCOURGE until he speaks!.

Besides JPrime also points out that this could be like the BM Jetstorm toy, which also makes sense. The VEHICONS had in the toyline LARGER versions of their leaders (JETSTORM, TANKOR, THRUST) and the drones were small TV SHOW accurate versions. So it's a valid opinion for a new Scourge and the SWEEPS.

 

A new UNIVERSE/CLASSICS OCTANE (NOT TANKOR, jeez WTF!!), is too soon to hope for; the NEW one you refer to is also IMO TOO SMALL, just like ASTROTRAIN, Hasbro screwd us (in a way) on this one. That's why JPrime in his reply listed him under the Voyagers banner.

VOYAGER class > DELUXE class.

 

I also hope about a re-make of ASTROTRAIN in a more Classic train look, it being a Bigger version (just like the re-tool of the TFCC).

A more likely scenario, however, would be that Hasbro would repaint the Scourge mould in different colours for the Sweeps. It would be less G1 accurate, but we would get variety in colour, which is always good.

Hasbro didn't screw us. That would mean that Aaron Archer spent nights awake in his office thinking "How can I screw the fans? I KNOW! I'll make Astrotrain and Octane Deluxes! That'll piss them off!"

And if you think that, or something similar actually happened, well TF collecting is the least of your worries.

I'll agree that Voyager versions of Astrotrain and Octane would have been nice, but really, they aren't needed. Hasbro proved that they could pack all the awesomeness of triple changes into the Deluxe size class.

In fact I would say of the three triple changers released recently the worst is the one Voyager (:animated Blitzwing)

:tfmad Thus why I didn't remember at first. He should have had a bigger role he is the second in command to Ultra Magnus in the Wreckers. Off topic did any one else wonder why if things were so bad on Cybertron then why were the Wreckers all on earth playing beach resort at the beginning of the '86 movie? Or maybe it was just Hotrod and the rest were back at the city not paying attention to the hole in the shuttle.
